After college, he went on to take different jobs before finally settling to become a full-time guide. He moved up to Alaska, where he started instructing from drift boats on the Kenai River. He went down to the Florida Keys to fish between seasons and fell in love with the place and the complicated puzzle that this fishery presents. He received his captain's license and established Held Fast Charters. Now, he's welcoming you to Florida as you take on your next best fishing trip with him.

Experience angling from a 23-foot Carolina Skiff flats boat which can fit up to four fishermen. It has a 150 HP Yamaha engine, GPS, and a fish finder for piloting, as well as a cordless trolling motor and a live well. Catch and keep Great Barracuda, Mangrove Snapper, Red Grouper, Shark, Permit, Spanish Mackerel, and Jack Crevalle with light tackling or fly fishing.
