Lake Ontario Summer Kickoff: Trolling and Jigging with High Adventure
Hot bite and happy crew! Summer fishing on Lake Ontario kicked off with a bang as I took Randall out for an early morning adventure with High Adventure Sportfishing. We set out from Pulaski, NY under clear skies, perfect for a day on the water. The conditions were ideal for trying various techniques on the lake. As we motored out from our launch point at 4 E 1st St, the anticipation was high for what the day might bring. With our gear rigged and ready, we started off trolling to cover some ground and locate active fish. As the morning progressed, we switched things up, trying our hand at jigging and bottom fishing to see what would produce results. While we didn't land any trophies this time, the experience of being out on Lake Ontario and putting our skills to the test was rewarding in itself. We wrapped up our trip with smiles, having enjoyed a great day on the water despite the fish playing hard to get. Lake Ontario offers some of the best freshwater fishing opportunities you'll find anywhere, and I'm always excited to share that with fellow anglers. Whether you're an experienced fisherman or new to the sport, there's something special about being out here. The techniques we used - trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing - are all effective methods that can produce great results on any given day. Brown trout fishing on Lake Ontario out of Oswego has been very consistent as well as drop back steelhead fishing on the salmon river. The weather is great. There are plenty of fish to go around.

Dropback steelhead fishing is about as good as it gets.
Salmon river steelhead are making their way down river and returning to Lake Ontario. Water flows have been great. The bite has been good and there are plenty of fish in the river system. I have an opening on April 24 if anyone is interested contact me. we are also getting our lake boat ready to begin our Lake Ontario fishing charters the second week of May. Brown trout fishing has been pretty good on the Lakeshore when the conditions are right there are a few salmon being caught and plenty of lake trout mixed in. Been a long Time!
I know its been a long time since my last report. Well it is Mid May, the Penn Yan is in the water and fishing and we are getting some nice fish. We have openings in May and June but the rest of the season is getting tight. Time to Troll!
Well it is that time of year when we transition from river to the lake. Why I am trying to squeak out a few more river trips it looks like I am going to lose a bunch. That being said the lake boat will be going in this week and thanks to mother nature and Brookfiled Power here is what we now have open. May 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 21, 25, 26. July and August is about booked full, but we have days in June as well. Lets hook up you owe it yourself to get away and enjoy your freedom and the great outdoors.

Winter Fishing Report and News
Hey gang just wanted to give you a quick update on everything that is happening here at High Adventure. Fishing in Pine Island sound has been incredible this month. There are tons of reds plenty of snook and trout along with snapper and sheepshead. I have openings scattered throughout the winter months so if you have the cold-weather blues give us a shout and we can get hooked up. Moving forward my spring steelhead season on the salmon river is about booked up except May 6, 7. If you want to fish the river with me this spring contact me soon as those days will not last long. We are also booking spring and summer Lake charters. My first mate Captain Jeff Richard Wallace II will be running the boat from late April until May 10 and then after that I will be joining him for the remainder of the season. Weekends are pretty close to being all booked up but we still have plenty of days during the week. Spring is Coming!
While I am enjoying the Florida fishing and sunshine, the phone has been busy scheduling Spring and Summer Lake Ontario Charters. I start my lake season in mid May and Browns and King salmon will be active in the Oswego area. While the Penn Yan may be in deep storage for the winter, Mike and Beth at Mikes Marina have my to do list which includes some upgrades and preventative maintenance. Jeff Wallace says he will be back on-board as mate for the season and everything is falling into place. Weekends are about gone but I have a lot of afternoons and weekdays still available. Was our first trip with "Troy" we actually fished with "Captain" Jeff and first mate Joe. was absolutely fantastic would recommend all day long. Not being able to make our first trip with Troy the captain of the boat might make you nervous, I will with out a doubt tell you that was not the case.
