We had previously experienced charter trips on smaller boats and decided to elevate our fishing adventure to see if it justified the cost. Opting for Hiliner Charters was akin to upgrading by five levels. Captain Brantley, right from our initial conversation in February to our trip in June, proved to be exceptional. He attentively listened to our preferences and exceeded our expectations. The larger boat with an air-conditioned cabin was a game-changer, preventing sea sickness for four of us. Captain Brantley's deckhand, AJ, was nothing short of fantastic. He played a pivotal role throughout our journey, tirelessly ensuring the comfort and success of our group of six. From baiting our lines, handling caught fish, and swiftly re-baiting for subsequent drops, to offering clear instructions and displaying incredible patience when we occasionally faltered, AJ was a true asset. Untangling lines and returning them to the water was executed with remarkable speed. I owe the successful landing of a shark to AJ's unwavering support and extensive experience; capturing a shark is no easy feat, but his encouragement and guidance made all the difference. AJ's exceptional rapport extended to everyone in our group, ranging in age from 8 to 66. He truly impressed us with his maturity and character. I am already eagerly anticipating our next excursion with Hiliner Charters. Booking another trip with them is at the top of my priority list.

On my second trip aboard the Full Draw, I was accompanied by my son, nephew, and son-in-law. Our day began with an early morning trolling session targeting mackerel, which set the tone for an exciting adventure. Later, we transitioned to bottom fishing, and our first stop yielded a hefty catch of amberjack, though they just missed the keeper mark by a few inches. As we moved to a couple of other spots, we enjoyed an abundance of mingo and triggerfish. While we could keep the white snapper, the red snapper were released safely. Throughout our journey, we eagerly maintained our big boy rods, hoping for a wahoo, creating a memorable and successful day of fishing.

I can't express enough how grateful we were for our experience with this boat. My wife, my brother, his wife, and I endured a combined 12+ hours of travel for a day of fishing. We had initially booked through a broker for a different boat (the "Championship"), only to receive a call at 4:30 the day before our trip, informing us that they required a part for their boat and wouldn't be able to go out at 6 am the next morning. This situation left us under a great deal of stress, as our entire weekend plans were centered around this fishing trip. Thankfully, Brantley promptly returned our call within minutes and graciously agreed to take us out the following morning. We cannot overstate how impressed we were with both Brantley and AJ. While we were out catching bait fish, we actually saw the "Championship" boat with their new customers, who had booked directly after us without using the broker. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend Full Draw Charters with Brantley at the helm. You can trust that he won't cancel on you the afternoon before your trip. Not only did he find the fish, but AJ also proved to be an exceptional first mate.
