The vessel you'll find yourself aboard is a 29' Convertible that comfortably accommodates up to 5 passengers. It is equipped with outriggers and all the essential equipment that a dedicated fishing machine requires. For your convenience, there's even a toilet on board, ensuring a comfortable trip. In terms of fishing gear, you're well-prepared with ready-to-use rods, reels, tackle, and an array of lures. Additionally, In Debt Charters has a 23' Bulls Bay boat, which can safely accommodate up to 4 anglers. If the conditions are right, offshore trips can be run from the Bulls Bay, or you can opt for a 30' topaz boat for a better opportunity to fish in the deep sea.
The waters off Wanchese, North Carolina, are teeming with a variety of fish species. Depending on your preferences, you can target Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Redfish, Gray Triggerfish, Bluefish, Atlantic Mackerel, Sheepshead, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Seabass, and more, provided that the conditions are suitable. What a fun filled excursion! Within the first 2 hours of our charter we had about 10 fish already, 5-6 of which were keepers! These guys are experienced teachers and very patient for those of us who are learning. They navigated the waters beautifully and kept us on top of fish in several locations. They are prepared and really set us up efficiently for success! Every time I turned around my hooks were already baited and ready to go, no questions asked. We came home with 12 triggerfish total which was plenty for us, but this adventure had potential for many, MANY more if we’d kept them! We also caught some sea bass, cobia, and other cool species that were a bit too small to keep but lended to an interesting variety! If you find yourself in OBX and interested in a superior fishing experience, these are your guys!

Captain Chris did an outstanding job. We brought along our two grandchildren, aged 5 and 10, and Captain Chris gave them a lot of attention, making it a fantastic experience. Despite the fish not being very cooperative, Captain Chris put in a lot of effort and employed various fishing techniques. It was an absolutely delightful boat ride, and we'll certainly be booking with him on our next trip in the future.
