Ipswich Bay Angling

Ipswich Bay Angling provides a full service guided fishing experience specializing in Fly Fishing and Light Tackle. The target fish of this charter is the Striped Bass in the waters of northeastern Massachusetts although you may have an opportunity to cast to an occasional Albie or Little Tunny's . This charter is owned and managed by Captain Michael Hart who has 14 years of experience fishing in these waters and a passion for delivering the incredible experience of landing a Striped Bass on the fly, especially a top-water, fly to his clients. You will be angling in tidal estuaries (rivers), beach fronts, inshore, pristine sand flats and everything in between. In the hotter summer months the Captain may choose to offer you the option of fishing with live bait, especially mid-day.

Captain Michael runs a 20’ Key West Sportsman, an open center console, with a shallow draft that can get into some pretty skinny water where big fish sometimes hide. It can accommodate up to three anglers comfortably along with the captain. He also keeps a cooler filled with snacks and soft drinks, and is more than happy to provide coffee upon request.

The captain customizes trips for any level of experience and all types of anglers are welcome aboard! Whether you're a professional or a beginner, the captain offers full fly casting instructions. Making sure that you will be able to catch a fish and appreciate what nature has to offer.
