With over 10 years of guiding experience, Danick has spent countless seasons hunting and fishing throughout the Kapuskasing region. His passion for the outdoors began long before guiding, driven by a lifelong goal of owning an outfitting business and sharing the land he knows best. That connection shows on every trip, whether setting blinds, navigating river structure, or explaining animal movement and seasonal patterns.

Hunting opportunities include black bear, wolf, duck, goose, and grouse hunts across proven areas north, south, east, and west of Kapuskasing, including the Missinaibi River corridor. Waterfowl hunts are fully guided, while wolf hunts are conducted from established blind setups where hunters are placed for effective positioning.

Guests stay at a lodge that accommodates up to 10 people, making it ideal for small groups and private bookings. Airport pickup and drop-off are available for $450, helping traveling hunters and anglers reach camp with ease.

Fishing trips take place on the Kapuskasing River, known for fast current, rocky structure, and deep pockets that hold fish. Target species include Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Whitefish, and Perch. Fishing is done by casting and trolling from 14-foot Lund boats, with three boats available. All fishing gear, live bait, and fish cleaning are included. A valid fishing license must be purchased by the guest.

Firearms rentals are available for hunting trips. Guests must hold a valid PAL to rent a weapon. If a guest does not have a PAL, rented firearms must remain within arm’s length of the guide at all times. Rifles are available for approved rentals, and safety is always the top priority.

One of Danick’s most memorable guiding experiences was leading a successful 55-inch bull moose hunt along the river, highlighting the quality of local game and habitat.
