Two friends and I recently booked a salmon trip with Hunter Heafer, owner of Kenai River Trout Hunter. It was the best fishing trip we've ever taken. Hunter is the most patient and attentive guide, no matter what your skill level is. We've all fished before, but needed some refreshers and reminders. Hunter knows the river well and picked the best spot for our skill level and comfort in the water. He demonstrated the techniques and was right there at all times to correct or guide us in casting and reeling in our fish. It doesn't matter whether you are an experienced fisherman or beginner, Hunter is there if you need help or just to net your fish. He was very encouraging and made for a fun experience for all. I would highly recommend taking a trip with him. You will be happy you did.

Great time and amazing all around experience. Hunter was such a fun person to be around and learn from. He provided us with everything we needed and more. My 3 friends and I hooked up on 30+ rainbows and dolly’s thanks to his guidance and experience. Will recommend to anyone looking to get on some fish. 5 stars no doubt

Our experience with Hunter was amazing! He made sure we knew what we needed to bring (basically nothing as he provided everything), when to meet him and was incredibly knowledgeable. My dad had the time of his life and we would recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced and professional guide. 5 stars all around!
