Your charter starts when we meet at the dock, where I'll have the boat rigged and ready to roll. We'll head out to current productive areas, which change based on water temperature, weather patterns, and where the baitfish are schooling. The boat is equipped with modern fish finders and GPS, but honestly, after guiding these waters for years, I can read the lake like a book. We'll work depths anywhere from 15 to 60 feet, depending on the season and conditions. When the bite gets tough, we'll switch to bottom bouncers with spinner rigs tipped with nightcrawlers or leeches. Spring and fall often call for pulling bigger baits deeper, while summer fishing can be more finesse-oriented in shallower water. I'll coach you through the techniques, from setting the drag properly to reading your rod tip for subtle bites.
