Robert Trotti, Captain at Line Sided Guide Service

Line Sided Guide Service invites you to explore the beautiful waters of Lake Whitney with a captain who grew up on these banks and has spent a lifetime learning the patterns of striped bass, white bass, and catfish. Captain Robert began fishing at age 11, and what started as a childhood hobby grew into a genuine passion for helping others enjoy the lake the way he always has. Today, he runs guided fishing trips that focus on comfort, steady action, and a relaxed atmosphere where every guest feels taken care of.

Your trip takes place aboard a dependable 22’ Sea Hunt center console built to handle a full crew of up to six guests. The boat is equipped with quality rods, reels, tackle, and everything needed for productive freshwater fishing. Live bait is available when conditions call for it, and light-tackle setups allow guests of all ages to participate. Whether you're chasing stripers schooling across open water or dropping baits for catfish along the bottom, the experience is hands-on, approachable, and suited for all skill levels.

Families are always welcome on board. Captain Robert is patient, easy to communicate with, and especially enjoys helping kids experience the excitement of catching their own fish. He keeps the environment friendly, simple to follow, and enjoyable from start to finish. Guests are welcome to keep their catch within Texas regulations, and fish-cleaning is provided so you can head home with fresh fillets ready for the table.

Lake Whitney is known for strong populations of striped bass, consistent white bass runs, and healthy numbers of blue and channel catfish. The lake’s clear water, rocky structure, and offshore humps create ideal conditions for steady fishing throughout most of the year. Spring and summer bring active surface feeding, while fall and winter offer underrated opportunities for guests who enjoy cooler weather and fewer crowds.

Before your trip, be sure to bring a valid Texas fishing license, sunscreen, snacks, and drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, except for hard liquor and glass bottles. The captain supplies the rest.

If you're searching for a Lake Whitney fishing guide who combines experience, local knowledge, and genuine hospitality, Line Sided Guide Service is ready to welcome you aboard for a memorable day on the water.
