beautiful conditions on Stellwagon. Lots of company. hooked up at 7:15. the new bow fighting station on tge bluefin is a GAME-CHANGER. had tge fish at the boat by 8:30. new gin pole worked great as well. 99", 372 lbs dressed, so likely 450-475 lbs whole fish.
Storms the night before appeared to scatter the bait. no luck early with the macks, so we went searching for pogie schools. The rain may have pushed tgemoff-shore as well. we eventually found macks of varying size on one of the humps outside the harbor. After that the striper action was fast and consistent with 8 fish in an hour (26-36").
Today's tautog fishing expedition with Captain Justin Moore in Massachusetts promises an immersive experience filled with expert guidance and the thrill of reeling in these prized sportfish. Captain Justin's extensive knowledge of the local waters ensures an exciting and rewarding adventure for anglers, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Despite Cod being closed, it’s really nice to see multiple 30+ inches getting caught and released. Here’s to hoping the sustainability practices will bring this great NE fish all the way back Ordering “Scrod or Schrod” in a New England restaurant? Scrod is cod. Schrod is haddock. Both delicious, so don’t worry.
