Discover what makes Fort Myers Beach a favorite for anglers of all ages with Luck O’ The Irish Fishing Charters. Led by the easygoing and experienced Captain Rich, this charter is all about sharing the joy of fishing in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re heading out with kids, friends, or just treating yourself to a day on the water, you’ll be in good hands.
These guided back bay trips offer a chance to explore the calm, fish-rich waters surrounding Fort Myers Beach. You’ll spend your day fishing near the mangroves, a productive habitat for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Snapper, and Snook. For those up for a tug-of-war, small Sharks are often spotted and make for a fun fight on light tackle. The charter isn't just about fishing either—keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife like pelicans, turtles, manatees, and the occasional dolphin gliding past the boat.
Captain Rich runs his trips aboard a 27’ Carolina Skiff, a reliable center console that provides a smooth ride and space for up to six guests to fish comfortably. The boat is wide, stable, and ideal for families or small groups. While it doesn’t have a bathroom on board, restrooms are always within a five-minute ride, so you’re never far from convenience.
Luck O’ The Irish Fishing Charters focuses on keeping things simple and fun. Everything you need for fishing is included—rods, reels, tackle, and live bait are all set up in advance. Just bring your drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and maybe a camera to catch the moment when someone hooks their first Redfish or reels in a keeper. There’s no need for a license either; you’re covered under the boat’s permit.
This charter stands out not just for its fishing, but for its friendly service. Captain Rich is known for his patience and local insight, making him a great choice for first-timers and seasoned anglers alike. Whether you’re looking to catch your dinner or simply enjoy a few hours on the water, the goal is always the same: have a great time.
If you’re visiting Fort Myers Beach and want to enjoy fishing without stress, Luck O’ The Irish offers exactly that—just good fishing, good company, and a beautiful place to spend your day.

We had an excellent trip with Captain Ken—perfect for my son’s 17th birthday! We caught plenty of fish and saw dolphins, manatees, and stingrays. I’d recommend this 100% and would definitely book again if we’re in the area. It was the best day on the water and won’t disappoint!

My 16-year-old son and I were new to fishing, but the captain was patient and encouraging throughout. He was determined to help us catch fish—and we did. I highly recommend this trip. It was very enjoyable.

Great family outing on a sunny, beautiful (though windy) spring break day. We caught enough fish to enjoy a delicious “hook and cook” meal at Pinchers next door—$9.99 per pound, prepared and served a la carte. Communication was excellent, the captain was ready and waiting on time, and took care of baiting and cleaning. Parking at the slip is $10, which isn’t bad considering all the repair and construction since Ian.

The captain was friendly and did his best to get us on the fish. We managed to catch a few small ones.
