Deale's Inshore Action: Cloudy Day Tactics on the Chesapeake
One for the books today! Summer fishing in Deale, MD brought Mohammad and their crew out with Lucky Strike Charters for an afternoon of inshore action. We set off in the late afternoon under cloudy skies, with a chance of rain looming. Despite the overcast conditions, the waters around Deale were calling our name. Our 6-Hour Afternoon Fishing Adventure was just getting started, and I was eager to show my crew what Lucky Strike Charters could do. With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on a mix of bottom fishing and light tackle jigging. The cloudy weather actually worked in our favor, often making the fish more active. We worked the inshore areas, targeting some of Deale's best spots. I switched between techniques, trying to dial in what the fish wanted. We also gave live bait fishing a shot, always a solid choice in these waters. While we didn't stick a trophy on this run, every cast and minute on the water was worth it. The crew stayed positive, and we kept at it, enjoying the challenge and the time out on the water. Fishing isn't always about the catch, and today proved that. Mohammad and their crew were great sports, soaking in the experience of being out on the Chesapeake Bay. We wrapped up our trip with smiles all around, having enjoyed a full afternoon of fishing and good company on the water. More time fishing
Fishing out of Hard Yacht Cafe in Dundalk, MD. Closer to the fish which means more time fishing and less time running. Now fishing light tackle and live bait. We will return to Deale Mid-July for the Spanish Mackerel. Few weekend dates available and a little more availability on weekdays.

I went with my kids and we had the best time. I will most definitely be using this charter again. Lots of fish, and a Captain that worked harder than any I have ever seen, and a great price.

Just spent the day out on Lucky Strike Charters and had a wonderful day! The captains were super kind and made us feel welcome! They made sure we caught fish, helped bate lines, and worked very efficiently. Never waited for anything! They were always ready to help with whatever we needed and got us set us for success! With only 7 people we caught a lot of fish! After, they cleaned and filleted the fish for us as well! I would definitely recommend booking a charter trip with them if you are looking for a relaxing but exciting day on the water fishing! Highly recommend!
