I run two boats, a 22’ Predator and a 25’ pontoon. I can fit up to 6 on the Predator and up to 8 on the pontoon. The boat we use will be determined by the size of your group. Both are outfitted with the same equipment and gear. The pontoon is more comfortable while the Predator is faster.

Today I had Chuck Buchda and his grandson Dylan aboard for some catfish catching on Keystone. I arrived at the lake at 6:30am, caught some fresh shad and prepared the boat and equipment for action. The guys showed up at 8, boarded the old Predator and we set out on our day. We made a run to where the fish have been and started looking around. Wasn't long before we were in the big middle of a pile of catfish. I started putting rods out and got about halfway done and they were already hooked up with the first fish of the day. The bite was steady and kept my guys busy for a few hours. They put some nice fish in the box and even had two overs that we got pics of and released. The bite slacked off where we were so started looking around again and the Lowrance Live Pro found us some more schools of catfish. We set up and started reeling in more fish. We ended the day with 20 in the box and two overs released. Made 4 gallons of nice Blue cat fillets and one channel cat. Was a beautiful day with some new friends. Thank you Chuck for booking my services. Catfish bite is hot! I have some dates available!! Went to Fort Gibson Lake unloaded the boat and set out to catch some big, catfish bait size shad. Got the Lowrance Active Target 2 fired up and pointed me in the right direction to load up the tank. Bait tank full of big shad made my way to picked up my clients Bill and Hunter at Paradise cove marina. Loaded them up and set out to get on some catfish I had marked while catching bait. I didn’t get all the rods out and we already had two in the box. We put a few more in the box at stop number one and then off to another spot when that bite died down. Second spot was a drift and we put a few more in the box after arguing with Mother Nature and her unwillingness to let the wind blow from one single direction! 😂. On to spot three, which is my favorite spot on this part of the lake. Didn’t even get the third rod out before Bill had another one hooked up. We sat there for a while on a steady bite until the box was full and Hunter was frozen. We went back to the marina and I cleaned them up a couple gallons of nice blue cat fillets. After I dropped the clients off I was making my way back to the dock to load my boat and figured I would “Active Target” some spoonbill. They were a little scattered where I was at but did put one in the boat. My shoulders can’t handle too much of that. That’s a lot of work!! 😂. I have available dates and am on fish on three different lakes. May make a trip to Oolagah to get on some more hybrids as well as long as Zach Petitjean left any in the lake for me! 😂
Went looking for some big spoonbill and found them in a few different spots. biggest was 77.74lb.
I found large schools of spoonbill on a scouting trip a couple of weeks ago and have been on them ever since. I will be on them through April, also the Catfish have been transitioning to their winter feeding pattern and have been feeding well most days.
Today I was on Gibson with Garrett and his boys and the target was Whitebass. They were fast movers, you could pick a few out of the schools each time they come by. We found the best bite in 8-12’ and we were using Old Ugly spoons, bouncing bottom. We came across some surface feeders a couple times and that would last about 8 seconds and they would move off. We put them together a nice box of fresh fillets for the dinner table tonight and everyone caught some nice fish.
