Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke & Tuna Biting Strong from Canal to Offshore
Cape Cod Canal The Canal is delivering classic early June conditions. Anglers are reporting productive sessions, especially during early morning and evening tides. Striped bass are active, with fish ranging from schoolies to over 40 inches. Jigging and casting topwater lures have been the most effective, particularly near the west end. 🐟 Cape Cod Bay Cape Cod Bay is heating up for flounder fishing, especially between Dennis and Truro in about 40 feet of water. Sea worms, clam, and mussels are working well. Striped bass up to 45 inches are also being caught using topwater lures and light tackle. 🐠 Buzzards Bay & Nantucket Sound Buzzards Bay and Nantucket Sound are holding strong numbers of striped bass and black sea bass. Stripers, including fish in the 30- to 40-pound range, are showing up regularly. Black sea bass action continues to improve, with a good mix of sizes and plenty of keepers. 🐡 Offshore & Deepwater Offshore reports are picking up, with bluefin tuna showing up east and north of Cape Cod. Trolling and jigging are working well for these powerful fish. Haddock fishing to the north is also productive, with steady action in deeper waters. 🧰 Tips for Anglers Tide Timing: Fish early mornings or evenings for the best results. Bait Selection: Use sea worms, clams, or mussels for flounder; topwater lures and jigs for bass; squid or jigs for sea bass. Gear Prep: Bring a mix of light and heavy tackle to adjust for inshore and offshore conditions. With warming water temperatures and an abundance of active species, Cape Cod is offering excellent fishing opportunities right now. Jumbo Fluke
Great Trip today catching Jumbo Fluke! It was a pleasure fishing with Chris, Bob, Sammy, Steve and Richie. Bob held the lead with an 11.1 Lb fish for most of the day until Richie hooked in to his 13 Pounder!!! Lots of quality fish were caught by the boys! The 13 pounder was caught on a Black Hole Challenger 701L Rod!!! #BlackHoleUSA #MeatWagonFishingCharters

Over 50 Fish! My three teenage kids and I went out on "The Meat Wagon," despite having little experience or knowledge of Cape Cod fishing. Captain Chris quickly helped us hit our Striper limit, and we continued to catch and release large fish for fantastic photos. Chris and his mate/father were professional, friendly, and excellent with my kids, providing guidance without any judgment. They were safety-conscious and made the trip enjoyable. I highly recommend them for both seasoned anglers and families with less experience. We had an unforgettable trip!
