Lake Michigan offers some of the best freshwater fishing in the country, and Merganzer Fishing Charters knows how to do it right! Captain Daryl Szyska has spent most of his life fishing this Great Lake, and is proud to now offer his knowledge and expertise for other angler's to join in the fun.

You will be casting from a spacious 34' Tiara cruiser, powered by twin 350 HP Mercury Cruiser engines. The boat can easily accommodate up to 6 anglers. It offers a comfortable and spacious cabin with plenty of seating, plus an air-conditioned interior cabin, galley, and private toilet.

Captain Daryl will provide you with all the fishing equipment you’ll need – rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Note that you do have to buy your own fishing licenses before your trip. If you plan to take any of your catches home, Captain Daryl will be happy to clean and fillet your fish so you can take it home to enjoy.

There are morning and afternoon trips, with start times varying depending on the month and target species. You will have the opportunity to go after Lake Michigan staples like Chinook and Coho Salmon, as well as Lake and Brown Trout. The captain will suggest the best starting times, and adjust them to work with any group’s specific needs.
