Miss Behavin’ Fishing Charters: Premier Raritan Bay Angling

Experience the best of North Jersey salt water with Captain Daniel McDermott aboard the Miss Behavin’. Operating out of Woodbridge Township, we provide private trips tailored to the seasonal migrations of the Raritan Bay. Our primary targets include Striped Bass, Flounder, and Weakfish, along with Black Seabass and Tautog when the bite is on. Whether we are trolling for trophy stripers, jigging, spinning, or bottom fishing for keepers, our goal is to keep your rods bent and the cooler full.

You will be fishing from a 27' Grady White center console, a vessel known for its stability and performance in local waters. With a capacity for five passengers, the boat is fully equipped for a productive day, featuring a private toilet for your convenience. We provide all the necessary rods, reels, and lures to get the job done. If you prefer to bring your own lucky rod, you are more than welcome to do so, provided you bring your own tackle to match your setup.

We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly charter where no previous experience is necessary. Captain Dan and our professional First Mate are happy to teach you the ropes, from basic casting to advanced popping techniques. Our Mate works hard to keep your rigs sharp and your bait fresh throughout the day; a 20% tip is customary to show appreciation for their expertise. To keep the crew happy, feel free to bring snacks and drinks—we provide a cooler on board to keep everything at the right temperature.

To ensure a smooth day on the water, please wear white-soled shoes to keep our decks clean and bring non-spray sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and bottled water. While alcohol is permitted (please avoid glass bottles), we focus on a safe environment for all ages, noting that children under thirteen must wear life vests. At the end of the trip, any fish that meet state regulations are yours to keep. Our crew will even filet and bag your catch so you can head home ready for a fresh seafood dinner.
