Mr. Wayne's Guide Service

We target Hybrid Striped Bass, Sand Bass and Stripers from April until August. We target big, Trophy Blue Catfish between September and March. I enjoy watching people catch fish, especially kids. For their safety, children under 13 must wear life jackets, which I provide. I have fished Lake Tawakoni for 30 years.

Located just 50 miles east of Dallas, TX, Lake Tawakoni offers an ideal setting for an unforgettable guided fishing trip. We'll do all we can to fill your cooler. We won't cut our trip short after just a few hours. I’m happy to fish for as long as you want—without any additional charge! We typically start fishing in the morning, then take a break for lunch at Duck Cove Marina, known for its excellent hamburgers, before heading back out for more fishing.

Our guided fishing trips take place aboard a comfortable Sun Tracker Pontoon Boat, accommodating up to five adults, equipped with a state-of-the-art 36V Ultrex Quest Minn Kota trolling motor that follows contours with precision. I supply all the fishing gear you’ll need; just bring your favorite snacks and drinks!

Before our trip, please ensure you purchase a fishing license. You can easily obtain a single-day pass from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's website. Don’t forget to take a picture of your license with your cell phone for easy access!

Be sure to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of bottled water to stay hydrated during our time on the water.
