Great catch and a beautiful jumper, congratulations
It’s shaping up to be a great week of fishing around Lakeside Marblehead, with Lake Erie offering up a healthy mix of walleye, smallmouth bass, and perch. The weather has been steady, the water is warming, and anglers are reporting solid action both by boat and from shore. Walleye fishing continues to be the main draw, and the bite has been reliable in 20 to 35 feet of water just off the Marblehead Peninsula. Trollers are doing well running Bandits and Flicker Minnows about 40 to 80 feet back, targeting suspended fish with leadcore or dipsey divers. Colors like chrome, purple, and firetiger have been standout producers. Evenings and low-light hours are especially hot, with plenty of keepers in the cooler. Yellow perch are starting to make more of an appearance, especially near traditional hotspots like the Marblehead Lighthouse, Kelleys Island Shoal, and the waters around Green Island. Perch spreaders tipped with emerald shiners are the go-to, and anglers are having better luck anchoring and staying patient while the schools move through. Smallmouth bass action is solid along the rocky points and nearshore structure. Tube jigs, drop shots, and small swimbaits are working well in 10 to 20 feet of water. Kelleys Island and the reef complexes nearby are holding some quality fish, with mornings seeing the best bite window before the lake gets busy. Overall, Lakeside Marblehead is offering a well-rounded fishing experience this week. Whether you’re chasing a limit of walleye or looking for hard-fighting bass, the lake is giving up some great days on the water. Be sure to check local wind conditions before launching, and enjoy the action Lake Erie has to offer!

Captain Carol was incredibly kind and knew her stuff inside and out. As someone who's been fishing my whole life, I didn’t expect to learn anything new—but she definitely proved me wrong! Her expertise is next level, and it was a pleasure to fish alongside someone so respected in the sport. I’ll 100% be booking another trip with her. Huge thanks to Captain Carol for an awesome day on the water. Tight lines!

We had an amazing day on the water with Captain Carol. From start to finish, she was welcoming, patient, and always ready to help. Our 12-year-old son joined us, and she went out of her way to make sure he felt at ease and had a great time. Whether it was handling the net or unhooking the catch, she was right there every step of the way. Can’t recommend her enough—Captain Carol is the real deal!

We had a fantastic time overall! We booked a half-day trip with four kids, and the timing couldn’t have been better—it was just the right length for everyone to enjoy without getting too tired. Captain Bob and Captain Carol were amazing. They were incredibly patient with the kids and made sure to find calmer waters to keep things smooth and enjoyable. The kids were thrilled to reel in plenty of walleye! If you're planning a family outing or introducing someone to fishing, I highly recommend Bob and Carol. They’re true professionals who know where to go and how to make beginners feel right at home.

Awesome trip from start to finish! The captain worked hard to keep us on the bite and made sure we hit our limit. Anytime the action slowed, they quickly had us back in the fish. Can’t wait to book another trip—highly recommend!
