US Coast Guard Licensed Captain Austin Keaton is the owner and operator of Native Bass Fishing Charters. A native of Orlando, he grew up right down the road from the Butler Chain of Lakes, and he has extensive experience on fishing the top local spots. He also learned to fish the salt in the Indian River Lagoon, Banana River Lagoon, and Mosquito Lagoon, once he had saved up to buy his own boat. After spending years teaching friends and family how to fish, and showing them new spots and techniques, Captain Austin turned his passion into his career when he founded Native Bass Fishing Charters.

Your captain's lifelong local pursuit of fresh and saltwater gamefish makes him uniquely suited to guide you on your fishing trip. Catching fish is the main goal, but Captain Austin understands that a successful trip also means having fun, helping you become a better angler, helping you experience the local wildlife and nature, and even acting as your tour guide!

During Orlando Bass fishing you'll have the opportunity to experience some of the best bass fishing in the country. Florida strain largemouth bass are very aggressive and have the genes to grow over ten lbs! There is a chance you will also catch other species such Chain Pickerel, Bowfin, Crappie, Bluegill and Florida Gar.

On saltwater fishing charters, you'll target redfish, tarpon, snook and sea trout. You'll fish the Banana River or Indian River Lagoon system. These are both brackish inshore fisheries which connect to the ocean, allowing your favorite gamefish to swim from the ocean into these river systems. Your guide, Captain Austin Keaton spent his whole life learning these inshore saltwater fisheries, specifically using a fly rod and light tackle.

Captain Austin fishes an East Cape Skiffs Evo V, custom-built and powered by a Mercury 115hp Pro Xs. A fishing machine perfectly suited for backcountry, inshore, and freshwater fishing, it's got a low draft, smooth ride, and i-Pilot trolling motor. Double thick cushions, bluetooth speakers, cup holders, and plenty of dry storage mean you'll fish in comfort.

Top notch rods, reels, and tackle are provided and included in the price. You can choose to use spinning rods, baitcasters, and fly rods well (as live bait or artificial) depending on the angler preferences. Saltwater licenses are included, but if you plan on fishing the Butler Chain of Lakes for largemouth bass remember to bring a valid Florida freshwater fishing license.
