Welcome to Nautical Excursions –this Charter provides guided fishing trips in Shearon Harris Lake. So, if you’re looking for a way to relax, explore, and fish on this water, you are in the right place. Joining you is a professional angler –Capt. Dwayne –who loves taking anglers of different skills and ages to a memorable time on the water.
Captain Dwayne is a local of North Carolina. He grew up on the lakes and coast of North Carolina which expands his experience in all areas of North Carolina waters from freshwater and saltwater. In addition, he is a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) veteran and is currently a member of the U.S Coast Guard Auxiliary. He also holds a USCG-approved Captain's License.
The boat you’ll be using is a 21’ Robalo Explorer powered by a 150HP Yamaha engine. She is outfitted with modern navigational devices and a T-Top to cover you from the sun. Other amenities include a sound system to play your music of choice. She can load up to 8 anglers onboard.
North Carolina fishing gives you plenty of opportunities to catch various fish species. Reel Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Crappie, White Perch, and anything else that bites. Your catch stays with you so don’t forget to bring coolers to store them on your way home.
Nautical Excursions will take care of your necessary fishing equipment. For anglers ages 16 and up, you'll need to bring an NC Inland fishing license. There are snacks, bottled water, and soda available onboard. But feel free to bring the foods and beverages that you prefer.

This was a great experience. We booked a fishing charter with Captain Dwayne. He took us out on the lake one beautiful morning. He is super personable, knows the area well, and knows what he is doing. We just showed up and he had all the gear set up. We learned some fishing tips that we will try on our own in the future. Highly recommend and hope to do another experience with him again in the future.

Great experience! Dwayne did his best to line up spots to catch fish and we did. Regardless of the catching (which we did a lot of), the process for booking, communicating, and the trip overall was perfect. Highly recommended, will be booking again soon.

My son and I went on a fishing trip with Captain Dwayne and had an exceptional time! Beyond being knowledgeable and a fishing expert, Dwayne is so friendly, patient, pleasant to talk to and very generous with his supplies and snacks. He really spared no expense to make sure we had a good and memorable time. If you have kids interested in fishing, I highly recommend the 4 hour fishing trip package Captain Dwayne offers. We definitely plan on coming back to the area just to do another fishing trip. It was a blast!

We had a great time with Cpt Dwayne! We caught a ton of fish, at least 10. Mostly cat fish, but we trew out some bobbers for fun and caught crappie and perch! He was an awesome guide and you can't beat his prices. If you want to get out on the fish, go with Cpt Dwayne!

Captain Dwayne and Nautical Excursions provide a fantastic charter fishing experience - on a sort of whim, I bought a group of guys (men + a few young boys) a male bonding experience a la fishing excursion. None of them are fishermen, some of them it was their first time out. Captain Dwayne was so patient and also just provided an excellent experience starting from pre-trip communications all the way through to follow up at the end with tons of photos, etc. The guys especially mentioned he was great to work with and they enjoyed chatting with him during the trip. Amazing lifelong memories were made, everyone had a super fun time that they can't stop talking about! They caught a TON of fish - all great! We will definitely be repeat customers.

My family signed up for a trip with Nautical Excursions not knowing what to expect. It turned out to be an amazing experience, from beginning to end. Captain Dwayne and Ashley flawlessly provided us with adequate information and equipment as required, the results were great. It was such a fun time! This is an experience you do not want to miss!
