He has been working on fishing boats since he was 15 years old and had been fishing the NJ waters since he was 5. He spent 10 years working as a deckhand aboard the Dauntless out of Pt. Pleasant, NJ and has been a USCG Licensed 100 Ton Master Captain for 7 years. Joe is a man on a mission and that mission is to get you on productive fishing grounds and to see the joy on customers' faces when they've landed a personal best fish or landed something they have never seen before.
Sail away and spend an exciting day on the Atlantic Ocean with the Nearfall fishing team. Hop onboard their 35' custom Donelle. It has a 350 HP Cummins diesel engine. It is designed to allow more than enough fishing room for everyone on board featuring its 14 ft beam and spacious deck space. The vessel has a fully enclosed cabin that can keep you warm and dry in between fishing spots. For safety, they make sure that the boat is decked out with top-of-the-line electronics to make sailing more efficient and precise. You’ll also love the cabin’s comfortable dinette area, refrigerator, microwave and coffee station, and large forward bunks.
The Nearfall team spares no expense with their fishing gear. All of their rods are custom-built and are brand new in 2022. They have both conventional and spinning rod setups available depending on your preference and the type of fish you want to target. The crew specializes in Blackfish, Striped Bass, Fluke, Bottom Fishing, Inshore Tuna, and Sharking. To face these sea monsters, you’ll be using a variety of fishing techniques such as bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, deep sea fishing, spinning, and drift fishing.

Could not have asked for a better day of fishing. Captain Joe was awesome. Not only was he knowledgeable about the area and where to fish, he was personable and informative. He took us out right at sunrise, we had hooks in the water and pulling in keeper Sea Bass before we knew it. Captain Joes brother Mitch was there to assist on deck while we fished which was super helpful. I am not an avid fisherman by any stretch of the imagination but the Captain and crew of Nearfall made me feel like I was family, answering questions and assisting every step of the way. I completely recommend Nearfall Fishing Charters to anyone looking for a fun full day of fishing!!

Had a great time fishing on the Nearfall for sea bass. Captain Joe does an excellent job navigating and making sure to to give his customers the best possible chances for catching fish. Me and my family were able to haul in 70 sea bass all in a few hours thanks to Joe's navigating. Additionally, the boat was spacious, clean, and had plenty of room to keep belongings dry and protected. I highly recommend Nearfall Fishing Charters to anyone looking to have a great time and have the best opportunity to catch fish.

BEST fishing trip ever. My son's and I sailed off to catch some seabass and Captain Joe and the Nearfall did not disappoint us. We caught our limit (10 each) and then some. Honestly I got tired of putting bait back on my hooks after catch after catch. Captain Joe has top knowledge of the Jersey waters and his mate, Matt was superb helping all of us and teaching the proper technique. The Nearfall is clean and spacious that made the trip even more enjoyable. No need to search other charters, the NEAR FALL is all you need. Thanks again Joe and Matt!
