Nelson Guide Company offers an array of affordable trip packages including, but not limited to, nearshore gulf fishing, inshore bay fishing, specialized kids fishing, shark fishing, and fly fishing. Captain Si studies local history extensively and receives deep joy sharing West Florida’s forgotten secrets with his guests, transforming a normal day on the water into a rich Panhandle experience.
Captain Si is a lifelong native of Florida’s Emerald Coast. He’s been an outdoorsman nearly his entire life and derives no greater pleasure than sharing his passion with others. Captain Si can hardly find any greater joy than taking a kid fishing and is more at home on the Gulf Coast waterways than at his own kitchen table.
You will be riding the "Jack 'Em Up", a 24' custom-built Carolina Skiff center console powered by a Yamaha 115. The Jack 'Em Up has an upper helm station and a massive casting platform for sight fishing, as well as a very roomie lower deck. The boat comfortably fishes 6 people and the Captain. Being a flat bottomed boat with an Atlas Jackplate System, Captain Si can fish extremely shallow water with just as much ease as the deeper nearshore gulf waters.
Species vary depending on which trip you choose but can include Redfish, Shark, Bluefish, Cobia, Flounder, King Mackerel, Pompano, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel and plenty more. There are fish out here with your name on them and Captain Si will put you on them!.

Captain Si is an expert at delivering the perfect trip for your family to create lifelong memories. He's committed to finding fish in calm enough water for everyone to enjoy themselves and makes sure everyone is having a good time, every time. We offer trips from 8 am with a fixed rate of $200 an hour for up to 4 anglers, and an additional fee for the 5th and 6th anglers.. The captain provides licensing for all clients and a large cooler with ice. All bait & tackle. Rods, reels, and safety equipment.

Captain Si made it a really fun fishing trip for everyone! We had a double group- kids fishing first then adults fishing. He was great with the kids and they had a blast reeling in their fish! It was a fun day and I highly recommend nelson guide company for your next Destin guided fishing trip!

My husband Ricky and I are here in Destin on our honeymoon, and we definitely wanted to catch fish! We chose Nelson Guide Company and we couldn’t be happier. Si and Dakota were awesome. Our 7 year old son had a blast on the kid's trip! Si was very professional, had a nice set up and made adjustments on the fly to ensure our son had the very best time! All but one ended up being catch and release, but the thrill of fishing on the sea and the fight these fish had was so much fun! Next trip out with Captain Si will be a longer one for sure!

Great trip with Capt Si. We had an awesome time. All of us were newbies at fishing, never salt water before. Capt Si started us out with some small fun ones and worked us up to big snappers by the end of the day. He was great at helping us all out with getting setup and knew exactly where to go to get what we wanted. Excellent day on the water!!
