Pensacola Fishing Report - July 2024 Inshore Fishing: Species: Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder Conditions: Warm water temperatures and clear skies have made for excellent inshore fishing. Early mornings and late afternoons are prime times. Tips: Live shrimp and artificial lures are proving highly effective. Focus on grass flats and deeper channels. Nearshore Fishing: Species: Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Cobia Conditions: Nearshore waters are active with plenty of baitfish, attracting larger predators. Tips: Trolling with spoons and live bait is yielding good catches. Target areas around reefs and wrecks. Offshore/Deep Sea Fishing: Species: Red Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Tuna Conditions: Calm seas and warm temperatures have created ideal conditions for deep sea fishing. Tips: Bottom fishing with cut bait and jigs is effective for snapper and grouper. Tuna are hitting on live bait and trolling setups.
Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of questions about 2023 snapper season lately. While I don't have a confirmed date yet, June 16th is looking like a safe bet. I've been seeing a lot of them thick off the coast of Pensacola, so I'm excited to get out there and harvest some. There's plenty of availability for booking a Pensacola fishing trip with me, so don't hesitate to reach out. Just to give you an idea of the kind of catches we're getting, this beauty was caught on 2/12/23 just one mile offshore. Can't wait to see what we'll reel in next in Florida fishing!
Trigger fish open August 1. Lots of pelagic action around. Everyone asks about mahi. Now is your best shot on a short Pensacola fishing trip. It’s been an oddball snapper season, unorthodox methods being used to pull the larger ones. We appreciate everyone who booked us, even the lady who no showed this evening. We have august availability for trigger, vermillion on the bottom fishing. I haven’t seen any keeper amberjack in state water lately, however they do open on the September first as well.
Red Snapper Season in Pensacola opens end of the week in the Gulf of Mexico! We are ready to get some tight line action with our customers. We still have dates available to get out on the water so book now for this awesome Pensacola fishing trip.

This is our THIRD trip with Jacob and No Limit! Would not choose anyone else. He takes pride in making sure you are having a great time and that you catch fish. Captain is very laid back, and takes pure pleasure in his trips. You feel right at home with him and his deckhand, and have no concerns for the day. If you do not seem to be catching, Captain and his Deckhand will work with you (if you will listen (lol)), and fish will start getting on your hook! Very knowledgeable of and in the area. Honestly, you cannot go wrong booking with him. It is money and time well spent!

We went out with Captain Jacob and his first mate on 9-1-2023. They were excellent to go out with. Fishing was off as Hurricane Idalia had just rolled through and the ground surge had changed things substantially. Jacob worked hard to get us on the fish and ensured we still had a successful trip. As avid freshwater fisherman the "bite" was definitely different and difficult to break old habits but they were patient with us and great with my 11 year old son. The boat was very solid, well maintained, and the fishing gear and terminal tackle was all great. Will definitely book with again if I'm in the area!! -Riley (39), Steve (66), Keaton (11)

Captain Jacob battled against the elements to get us on some fish. He and his deckhand never quit working for us until we had exhausted our snapper supply. You can't go wrong if you want to have a nice time and catch some fish.

Excellent skipper, Jacob, and first mate, Joey. We hit many structures until we located what we were looking for. We caught more more than pictured; unfortunately, many were not keepers, but they were enjoyable to capture. Beautiful, spotless boat. Snacks and beverages are given. Excellent training on equipment and operation. Two Tennessee freshwater fisherman become saltwater fishers. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
