The waters around Gulf Shores are teeming with a variety of fish, including Skipjack Tuna, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Red Snapper, Cobia, Triggerfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more, depending on the season. During the trip, anglers may engage in various fishing methods such as spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, and bottom fishing. Capt. Chase also offers the opportunity to experience kite fishing, providing a broad spectrum of fishing techniques to explore.
Families are welcome aboard, and arrangements can be made for child-sized life vests if needed. To keep everyone comfortable and content, bringing along snacks is recommended. The 35-foot Henriques boat, designed to accommodate up to six passengers, is well-equipped with outriggers and all the necessary fishing gear. A toilet is available for convenience, and all fishing equipment, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures, is provided. Live bait is available, but guests should confirm with the captain if they will be catching it themselves.
A First Mate will be present to assist with the smooth operation of the trip, and a customary 10–20% tip is appreciated for their service. We had an incredible experience with Capt. Chase. He continuously adjusted our locations to ensure we were catching fish. At one spot, we quickly reeled in three small snappers, and he decided it was time to move. Thanks to his efforts, we hit our limit and had a fantastic trip.
