Dave Roller has been living the dream for nearly 50 years! As the owner of Pere Marquette Outfitters, his enduring passion for fishing has kept him employed in a full-time job that he loves. Dave's expertise and enthusiasm have been passed down from generation to generation, making him a pivotal part of the local community. His five generations of experience are an invaluable asset to Pere Marquette Outfitters and all its customers.
Fishing in Michigan is exceptional, and I am always searching for new and exciting places to fish! In 2015, I acquired a prime piece of property along the Alagnak River which offers an incredibly comfortable and bountiful fishing experience. Right out our front door, you will catch Salmon, Trout, and Grayling while spotting deer across the riverbank. The area not only offers an abundance of fish but also provides an incredible landscape to view while fishing.
Alaska's Bristol Bay is home to some of the world's best fly fishing. The bay pumps millions upon millions of migrating salmon into Southwest Alaska via its unspoiled miles and miles of streams and tributaries every year. Alagnak River, the main artery of this prolific estuary and home to our Alaska Wilderness Camp, is a clear water fishery that is second to none—right in the heart of Katmai National Park's pristine wilderness.
If you ever dreamed of experiencing an Alaskan fishing adventure, our 1 week Alaska fishing trip is the perfect way to do it! Enjoy 7 days and 7 nights of Alaskan exploration, where up to 10 people can come together. Join us for a fishing trip of the ages on the likes of Michigan's famous Pere Marquette River. On these trips we will target Salmon, Steelhead and Wld Brown Trout. We offer fly fishing trips and spin fishing trips as well depending on your preference. The price of this trip includes rods, reels, flies and terminal coffee. It also includes hot Coffee and a breakfast roll as well as a hot grilled lunch and soda for a mid day meal! If you would like to consume alcoholic beverages you must bring your own. Gratuity is not included in the price of this trip.

Alaska, North America's last frontier, is home to an abundance of magnificent bodies of water, with salmon and rainbow fish waiting to greet you every morning in here. One of the main tributaries of this captivating river and home to our exclusive Alaska Wilderness Camp is the Alagnak River, a famed stream. We host summer camps quarterly from mid-June through mid-September. Our Summer season starts in mid-June with trophy rainbows and grayling, followed by Sockeye & Kings in July and onto Pinks, Chums, Silvers (Coho), and more Rainbows in August.

I would highly recommend PM Outfitters to anyone looking for a fun, productive, and truly majestic experience. We completed a full day Steelhead trip with Zach. Every detail from pick up to drop off was well-explained and well-thought. Zach is a true professional and a teacher at heart. He is far beyond his years in his abilities to teach, demonstrate, and, most importantly, put you on the fish. To top it off, he grills Grade A homemade sausages for lunch! If you decide to go fishing with PM Outfitters, do yourself a favor and request Zach. You will not be disappointed.

My son, my nephew and I wanted to take a guided fishing trip at the Pere Marquette River, when I called David, he was extremely nice, helpful and accommodating, positive attitude. David accommodated us on a short notice and arranged a guided trip the next day. Also David had arranged for us waders to use on the trip (it was really needed). Our guide was Blake, trip started at 7 am. We never had done fishing before, Blake was a great instructor, he thought us all technics, Blake was determined that everyone of us catch their own fish at least once, my son and nephew caught big steel heads, and I caught a small trout. Blake never given up on us, multiple times we had the hook get stuck and he replaced multiple times, he kept changing bates , he knows the river very well. Trip ended at 3:30 pm, we didn't feel that we spent a full day in the river. Thanks to David and Blake, we decently will come back again

This is at least my fourth year fishing with Pere Marquette Outfitters, and they are the above the rest in my experience. I’ve fished with a lot of guides, and PM Outfitters has among the best, especially Blake Roller. He knows the PM so well - every hole, even in high water, probably from growing up there and winning trout tournaments. This year, I fished three days with Blake, and netted 15 Kings, including at least 5 over 20 pounds. Dave really knows fishing too, and he’s always been friendly and responsive. I’ve tried the others; if you are serious about fishing, I’d go with PM Outfitters.
