The Captain’s ally in all the fishing quests is an 18-foot Clackamax drift boat or his 25-foot Alumaweld Columbia guide sled, with the capacity to carry up to 6 people, and is ideal for getting everyone to the best spot on the river. You will be using top-of-the-line Shimano and G.Loomis fishing equipment. You’re in charge of bringing whatever you want to eat or drink. You will want to bring plenty of warm clothes and dress in layers. Make your top layer rain gear—the weather can change in a hurry fishing in Oregon.

Expert Guide Phil Mattson has over 13 years of experience fishing the Columbia and Willamette Rivers, and he knows their secret hiding spots. Steelhead, Chinook, Coho Salmon, and Walleye are in the cards, all of them are excellent fighters, and it will not be easy for you to reel them in! If you want to, you can keep the fish that you catch and enjoy eating it yourself. If not, simply let it go back into the water.
