Playtime Sportfishing is owned and operated by Captain James Brayton and runs trips out of Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades Inlet. Captain James began fishing at just 13 years old and has spent years developing the experience and local knowledge that now shape every trip he runs.

You’ll fish aboard a well-maintained 38’ Hatteras, designed for both comfort and performance offshore. The boat features a large open cockpit, rocket launcher, livewell, and a full set of 35-foot outriggers. There’s space for up to six passengers, along with an enclosed, fully air-conditioned salon and an onboard restroom, making longer days on the water more comfortable for everyone.

Powered by twin 330hp Cummins engines producing a combined 660 horsepower, this Hatteras delivers dependable speed and efficiency. That means less time running between locations and more time fishing the areas that matter most based on the day’s conditions.

Playtime Sportfishing supplies everything you need for the day. Ice chests are available for food and drinks, along with a dedicated cooler for your catch. A professional first mate is onboard every trip to assist with gear, lines, and fish, helping keep the day running smoothly. A gratuity of 18–25% is customary for the mate’s hard work and support.
