Operating out of Wildwood Crest, NJ, Captain Steve is on the water daily from May through late September, offering fishing trips suitable for anglers of all experience levels. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-timer, you’re guaranteed a fantastic day on the water.
Step aboard his 35’ Maine Coaster, a vessel designed for comfort and performance, accommodating up to six guests. Powered by a 450 HP Cummins engine, the boat ensures a smooth and secure ride. It features a spacious enclosed cabin with plenty of seating, a private restroom, and ample deck space to reel in the big ones.
The species you’ll target vary with the season. Early trips focus on Drum, while later months offer trolling for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and Spanish Mackerel. Other exciting opportunities include spinning, bottom fishing, and deep-sea excursions for Flounder, Striped Bass, Bluefish, and even Sharks.
Captain Steve provides top-notch Shimano and Penn fishing gear, along with bait. If you’d like to keep your catch, the first mate will clean and fillet it for you at no additional charge (though tips are greatly appreciated). Be sure to bring along snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and anything else you need for a comfortable day.

We had an amazing time aboard the Prime Time II with Captain Steve and mate Jerry. They were both welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The ride out to sea was smooth, and we caught plenty of fish. As first-time sea fishers, Steve and Jerry made the experience unforgettable and thrilling, especially for our boys. Jerry even filleted our catch, so we could enjoy a delicious lunch at home. I took my boys, sister-in-law, and father-in-law on a bottom fishing trip during our beach vacation, and it was an unforgettable experience. Captain Steve was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating, while First Mate Jerry was professional and patient throughout. He made sure we were always rigged and baited, and we didn’t have to touch the fish unless we wanted to help. We caught 50-60 fish, including sea bass, sharks, sea robins, and flounder, with 12 keepers. Jerry even filleted the fish when we returned. It was the perfect first fishing trip for my 7-year-old, and we all had a fantastic time. Thank you!

We went trolling, and the fish just wouldn’t stop biting – it was so much fun! Captain Steve and Jerry were fantastic – knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. They made the most of our 4-hour tour, and we ended up with about 10 pounds of fish to take home. I’d definitely do it again and highly recommend the experience!

We had an incredible time with the crew today! Everyone had a turn reeling in multiple sharks, and my 11-year-old had an absolute blast. He’s been talking about it non-stop since we finished earlier this afternoon and is already asking to book the same crew for next year’s trip!

I booked Captain Steve’s 4-hour morning trip for four teen boys who wanted to try fishing, and it was an unforgettable experience. Steve was very responsive when I initially reached out, and the boys had an amazing time on the boat. Steve and his first mate were fantastic, taking great care of them throughout the trip. They caught and released several sharks and said it was the highlight of our vacation. I would definitely book again and highly recommend this experience!
