Guide Jeff Boshart has been obsessed with fishing since he was a little kid and always knew that fishing was and is his true passion. He has really enjoyed sharing his passion with many people over the past several years. Every time out on the water he knows he is where wants and was meant to be. He is excited to share his passion and success on the water with anyone who wants to have a great time and catch some amazing fish.
Jeff guides trips for salmon and steelhead in Upstate New York on the east end of Lake Ontario’s tributaries including the Black River, Sandy Creeks and the Salmon River. He specialize in float fishing which is extremely productive and exciting method used for salmon and steelhead. We primarily float fish because of its effectiveness as you'll spend more time fishing in the strike zone and less time snagging bottom and re-tying. The float serves two main purposes: suspending your bait in the water at a desired depth and as a strike/bite indicator. If you want a shot of adrenaline, watch the float disappear right before your eyes…fish on!
At the end of the day, Jeff wants to catch fish more than his clients will, and he will do whatever it takes to make that happen for his clients. Jeff specializes in float fishing and plug fishing from his 16' Willie Drift boat. Jeff's main goal is to get his clients to experience the incredible screaming reels that steelhead will provide, and he will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Jeff has spent countless hours fishing these tributaries and would base your trip on where the best bite would be depending on the conditions and will influence whether the trip is a drift or wade trip. Jeff is willing to extend this trip up to 8 hours in order to give you the opportunity to experience the thrill of hooking into an elusive steelhead..
