Ethan made our family outing a blast, despite challenging local fishing conditions. Despite scorching water temperatures nearing 100 degrees, Captain Ethan's expertise led us straight to hidden Snook and Redfish havens. Our lines were soon tugged by monstrous fighters, some of the most intense battles I've ever experienced. We even reeled in a couple of sharks! Throughout the trip, we marveled at diverse fish species, birds, and mammals. Opting for the extended 6-hour excursion, a tad ambitious for my wife and phone-bound daughters, Ethan proved a master at engaging kids with enthralling tales and wildlife wisdom. He kept their interest afloat, a stark contrast to trips with uninspiring captains that dampen the day. Ethan's infectious personality could have transformed adverse conditions into a disastrous trip. A great personality can overshadow any fishing haul. We could've stayed out all day with him, his dynamic engagement even overshadowing the fish we caught. The day could have been bleak, considering the circumstances. Yet, Ethan's attitude turned it into a triumph. We caught more fish than we dared hope for, albeit with effort. Amidst fellow charters reporting dismal catch rates, we reeled in several. Reel Sanibel was the right choice; we put in the work, and so did Ethan. Luck smiled on us, even with bananas onboard. Reel Sanibel made us feel at ease and engaged, turning tough fishing into cherished memories. Remember, fish won't leap into your boat. Invest time and embrace the elements for happiness. Captain Ethan proved to be an amiable, knowledgeable, and adaptable host. Despite the aftermath of recent hurricane Ian and the challenges posed by red tide, which impacted the fishing conditions and location (due to damaged Punta Rassa boat ramp), Ethan adeptly navigated the circumstances. He provided alternatives and recommendations to align with our preferences – prioritizing edible catches over trophy fish due to fishing regulations. Please note that a $40 parking fee applies at the boat ramp pickup area. Despite the hurdles, we enjoyed a delightful time, successfully reeling in trout and a mackerel.

Concerned about weather, my family received a considerate outreach from Ethan, offering a pre-trip cancellation option before our hour-long drive. The experience surpassed expectations; Ethan orchestrated everything seamlessly. Notably, he engaged wonderfully with my daughters. Should the opportunity arise, I'll undoubtedly rebook with Ethan. Venturing into SW Florida's fishing scene for the first time, our group of bass enthusiasts from North Idaho anticipated bottom fishing with squid. However, our expectations shifted when we encountered the unique realm of cut bait. Captain Ethan Hanson led us on an extraordinary water-bound journey. A delightful twist emerged as dolphins graced us with an unexpected visit, heightening everyone's spirits. Though lunch at Cabbage Key leaned towards the pricey side, the experience was undeniably valuable. This is a trip etched in our memories, and we're eager to reunite with Captain Hanson and Reel Sanibel for another exceptional excursion.

My inaugural voyage with a boat captain exceeded all expectations. Captain Ethan's expertise and skill led to a day filled with abundant catches. Countless Snook, including a remarkable 39-inch specimen, and a 10-pound Redfish were reeled in. This fishing expedition stands as one of my most cherished memories.
