Non-stop bites all day long! That's how I'd sum up our summer afternoon out on Reno Beach with Anthony and their crew. We set off from Oregon, OH with Reel Therapy Sportfishing for a 5-hour walleye adventure. The weather played nice, staying partly cloudy throughout our trip, which made for some comfortable fishing conditions. As we pushed off around mid-afternoon, I could tell we were in for a solid outing on the water. Once the stage was set, we got down to business with a mix of techniques. We started off trolling, which is always a great way to cover water and find where the fish are hanging out. As we moved along, we switched things up with some bottom fishing, really getting a feel for what was going on beneath the surface. We even took some time to cast from shore, giving everyone a chance to stretch their legs and try their luck from solid ground. While we didn't land any trophy fish this time around, the constant action kept everyone engaged and having a great time. That's what I love about fishing – even when you're not pulling in the big ones, there's always something to learn and enjoy out on the water. At Reel Therapy Sportfishing, we're all about creating the best experience for our crew, and I'd say we hit that mark today. Anthony and their group were great sports, taking on each technique with enthusiasm. As the sun started to dip lower in the sky, marking the end of our 5-hour June/July Trip, I couldn't help but feel satisfied with how the day had unfolded. We wrapped up the trip with smiles all around, proving that sometimes it's not about the size of the catch, but the quality of the time spent on the water. One for the books today! I took Nick and their crew out for a 5 Hour June/July Trip – Walleye with Reel Therapy Sportfishing in Oregon OH. We set out in the late afternoon, heading to Reno Beach. The weather started off a bit wet, but cleared up nicely as we went along. It's always a treat when Mother Nature cooperates and gives us a mix of conditions to work with. With our gear rigged and ready, we tried a variety of techniques to entice the walleye. We started off trolling, which is always a solid choice for covering water and finding active fish. As the afternoon progressed, we switched things up and did some bottom fishing, hoping to tempt any walleye hanging out near the lake floor. We even gave pier fishing a shot, mixing up our approach to maximize our chances. While we didn't land any trophies this time around, the crew stayed positive and we had a great time trying different spots and methods. Sometimes it's just about being out on the water and enjoying the experience, which is exactly what we did with Reel Therapy Sportfishing. Every trip out here is unique, and this one was no exception. The changing weather from rain to clearing skies added an interesting dynamic to our fishing strategy. Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Jeff and their crew out for a 5-hour walleye trip on Reel Therapy Sportfishing in Oregon, OH this summer. We launched early in the morning, hitting the water around sunrise. The weather was partly cloudy with a chance of rain, but that didn't dampen our spirits as we headed out to Reno Beach. Water conditions were decent, and I was optimistic about our chances. With four anglers aboard, we had plenty of hands on deck to cover some ground and try different techniques. It's always a pleasure to guide folks on these waters, especially during the prime June/July season when the walleye fishing can really heat up. Reel Therapy Sportfishing is all about providing the best experience, and I was determined to make this trip live up to that promise. With our gear rigged and ready, we started the day trolling, which is often productive for walleye in these parts. As we worked the area, I kept a close eye on the fish finder and adjusted our speed and depth to target the most promising spots. We mixed things up by switching to some bottom fishing techniques, dropping our lines to where I suspected the walleye might be holding. Later, we tried casting to cover more water and give the crew a chance to work different presentations. Despite our efforts and the variety of techniques we employed, the fish weren't cooperating as much as we'd hoped on this outing. But that's fishing – some days are slower than others, and it's all part of the experience. Even though we didn't land any trophies this time, the crew stayed positive and enjoyed their time on the water. We wrapped up the trip with smiles all around, appreciating the day out on Lake Erie and the chance to hone our skills. These quieter days on the water can often teach us just as much as the ones where the fish are jumping in the boat. If you're thinking about coming out for some walleye action in Oregon, OH, I'd love to have you aboard Reel Therapy Sportfishing. Our 5-hour June/July trips are a great way to experience the best of Lake Erie fishing. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to the sport, we've got the knowledge and equipment to give you a shot at some quality walleye. We'll use a mix of techniques like trolling, bottom fishing, and casting to maximize our chances. Even on days when the fish are playing hard to get, you'll learn a lot about the local waters and walleye behavior. Plus, the views of Lake Erie and the camaraderie on board make for a memorable outing. Don't let a slower day discourage you – it often means the next trip could be the one where everything comes together for an epic bite. So grab your fishing buddies and join us for a day of walleye fishing. Who knows? You might just land that personal best or experience the thrill of a sudden hot streak. Book your trip with Reel Therapy Sportfishing, and let's make some fishing memories on Lake Erie!
Snuck out for a few hours yesterday afternoon for a family trip and made quick work of a boat limit. Big thanks to Al Szuch Live Bait for staying open to clean our catch.
Saturday morning I had a group of 4 from Southern Ohio out for a short trip. These guys were pretty hard core, staying on the rail all morning despite the wind and rain. Saturday afternoon had a couple of guys in from the Indianapolis area celebrating the birthday of their Father in law. The afternoon started out very slow, until we found an active group of fish in the last hour, boating an additional 14 fish for the cooler. Now is the time to reserve your date on the lake this summer by giving me a call or shooting me a message at 419-367-7530.
Vacation is over and the boat is moored back at its home port. The perch fishing is getting really good and will only get better as the water starts to cool. Give me a call or shoot me a message to secure your date to get out and chase some Lake Erie gold.
The Springman family from Indiana joined me today for a morning 7 hour walleye charter. Fishing was decent, we picked at them all day.
We had an extremely busy weekend. There was a northeast wind and large mayfly hatch Friday night which made the fishing on Saturday morning very slow. I was marking fish, just couldn’t get them to bite. Sheephead with the occasional walleye kept the customers busy. We finished the day with 8 walleye.
I had a father son duo aboard today for an absolute walleye slam fest. The fish were snapping all morning. We finished with a boat limit and stayed out to play catch and release before the customers decided to call it quits 2 hours early. We fished in close to the harbor, pulling spoons behind tru trip at 2.4 sog 30’-45’ back.
Fishing in Lake Erie was an amazing experience where everyone had a blast catching walleye. The excitement was palpable as each of us successfully reeled in our own catch, adding to the day's thrill and enjoyment.
Went out on a family trip today. Of the three of us(one didn’t want to get out of bed), one of us caught our limit of perch. The other two caught half their fish. Nice grade of fish. 61 fish weighed in at 18.5lbs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Review for Reel Therapy Sportfishing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My brothers and I recently organized a fishing excursion charted by Reel Therapy Sportfishing as a Father’s Day gift!! Our dad/stepdad had the most incredible fishing experience and I can't praise them enough! From start to finish, the entire trip was so much fun for him and my brothers! Not only was the owner and captain of the boat, Danny, highly skilled and knowledgeable about fishing but also incredibly friendly and accommodating. He even laughed at my brother’s dumb jokes 😂😂 He made sure everyone on board felt comfortable and confident, regardless of their fishing experience. All of the fishing equipment was provided and Danny assisted with baiting hooks, etc . During planning, Danny was great regarding communication- responded to messages very quickly and answered all of my questions! Booking a date and time was incredibly simple! Beyond the fishing itself, the overall experience was unforgettable for my stepdad and brothers! They all agreed that they would highly recommend and look forward to booking again!! I highly recommend Reel Therapy Sportfishing to anyone looking for an exceptional fishing charter. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner, this charter will exceed your expectations!
