A refurbished 30-foot Trojan boat restored in 2020 will be your fishing vessel for the day. It is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests; it's powered by twin 350-horsepower GM engines and has a speed of up to 28 knots. Inside, you’ll find quality navigation electronics such as GPS, fish finder, and radar and it also features outriggers and downriggers.
The warmer months of early April to late September are a terrific period to go fishing for Coho and Atlantic Salmon, and Brown and Lake Trout. The waters offer a plethora of fish, so you can go to some places that provide a beautiful view of the coastline or go as close as a half mile away from the shoreline. Trolling is your primary fishing technique, and you'll be allowed to keep a limit on all the fish you catch.
All equipment needed for fishing is included in the price such as the rods, reels, tackle, and lures, along with your first mate who will be happy to clean your catch after the trip. Don’t forget to purchase a fishing license before your trip, and bring food and beverages, sun protection, and wear wear-appropriate clothing.

We have been fishing with Ray a few times and had a wonderful time on each trip. Ray is a phenomenal, knowledgeable captain and his rates are extremely reasonable. Jerry was Ray's mate for each of our trips, and he was just as wonderful. Between Ray's expertise and cooperating conditions, our most recent trip this past August was unbelievable. I was fortunate enough to reel in a 26-pound king salmon, and Jerry coached me the entire time until we had it on the boat. We had such a great time that we booked our trip for August 2019 before the end of our 2018 fishing trip. We can't wait to go back!

I've been fishing with Capt. Ray and Jerry for 5 years straight. We typically fish for two full days and have always caught plenty of great fish (Kings, Coho, Browns, Lakers, and Steelheads). I have fished in June, July, and August, and limiting out is common. This is an experienced and professionally run operation that treats you like family. Ray and Jerry know how to catch fish, they adapt and pull out all the tricks and techniques with the ever-changing Lake Ontario conditions. They are just fun to fish with and we have built a friendship over the years. If you enjoy catching big fish, I endorse Ridge Runner Fishing Charters 100%. Can't wait until this year's trip. Hi, Jim Martinson here, I have been Salmon fishing with RidgeRunner Fishing Charters since 2011. This past summer was our 8th consecutive trip. Ray is a top-notch, extremely professional, and knowledgeable Captain, who loves to fish !! We have had great success each year, catching large King Salmon, Brown trout also Steelhead, and Cohos. Four of us go each year, and we usually come home with 100 plus pounds of cut Salmon steak and fillets. For our money and 8 years' worth of observation of other boats' success rates, Captain Ray, along with first mate Jerry, are one of the APEX TEAM's fishing out of Sodus Point.
