I wish I could rate Captain Don and Rising Tide an 11/5 stars. Chris promptly handled a potential date change and ensured we were matched with the perfect captain for our trip. Don welcomed us warmly and engaged with my kids even before we boarded. He patiently taught them about crab genders, reading waves/tides, and operating the boat. Don also encouraged them to handle crabs and reel in fish, making this a remarkable first fishing experience. We're eagerly anticipating our next trip!

Don proved to be an exceptional, amiable, and well-informed guide. The boat and equipment were impeccably maintained. Despite the challenging season—Halibut were scarce, Pacific Salmon off-limits, and lingcod regulations restricted our fishing spot—we managed to secure a satisfying catch of crab and prawns. Although we missed out on fish, the experience was thoroughly enjoyable, and we departed contented. Highly recommended for an enjoyable afternoon excursion!
