Saddle Horn Outfitters LLC is a licensed and permitted outfitter in both Idaho and Wyoming, offering guided hunting trips deep in the heart of the American West. We are proudly licensed by the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board (#24084) and the Wyoming State Board of Outfitters (#BG-375). Our operations are permitted across a variety of public lands, including the Caribou-Targhee and Bridger-Teton National Forests, as well as lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

Jesse has spent his life immersed in the outdoors. Raised between Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming, Jesse’s love for hunting and fishing was sparked early on by his parents. At just 8 years old, he field dressed his first mule deer under his father's guidance. By the age of 12, he had successfully harvested his first mule deer buck, and by 16, his first spike bull elk. These early experiences laid the foundation for a lifetime of hunting and backcountry survival, shaped by the mentorship of his father, grandfather, and uncle.

In 1995, Jesse began guiding with Flying J Outfitters in Utah’s high Uinta Mountain Wilderness, leading horseback pack trips for fishing and big game hunting. His skills were further sharpened by mentors like Lonny Jackson and later, Riley Manzonie of Currant Creek Outfitters, who helped him refine the art of glassing and selecting high-quality optics for trophy hunting. Jesse’s resume expanded to include guiding with Mossback Outfitters and hunting trips throughout Nevada and Utah, building a diverse set of field skills and knowledge of Western game species.

Jesse’s guiding career took him to the rugged wilds of Alaska in 2007, where he hunted moose and encountered his first grizzly bear. He later guided for Ben Stevenson and Alaska Frontier Guides, leading successful hunts for moose, Dall sheep, mountain goat, brown bear, grizzly bear, and black bear. These remote expeditions demanded not only expertise but a deep respect for wilderness survival.

In 2018, Jesse began guiding in Idaho’s Unit 66 under a Flying J Outfitters permit. After years of successful elk, deer, wolf, and black bear hunts, he purchased the permit area in 2023 and founded Saddle Horn Outfitters. Today, Jesse continues to lead memorable backcountry adventures, focusing on conservation, safety, and ethical hunting. He’s committed to helping hunters experience the wild with minimal impact—leaving nothing behind but footprints and taking home lasting memories.
