The lake's ecosystem is thriving, contributing to a diverse and abundant fish population. Salmon: Catch Rate: High Best Spots: Nearshore areas, 50-100 feet depth Bait/Lures: Flashers with cut bait, spoons in green and silver Notes: Early morning and late afternoon have seen the best activity. King salmon have been particularly active, with several catches in the 15-25 lb range reported. Trout: Catch Rate: Moderate to High Best Spots: Deeper waters, 100-150 feet depth Bait/Lures: Downriggers with spoons, live bait Notes: Lake trout are biting well, especially around the rocky ledges. I've had an incredible time lately fishing at Lake Ontario for Coho Salmon. It's been absolutely thrilling, with these fish providing some unforgettable moments on the water. The Coho Salmon seem to be really attracted to bright and flashy lures, which has made for some truly exciting catches. The water temperatures have been just right for Coho Salmon, and it's clear they're in a feeding frenzy. This means it's an excellent opportunity for anglers of all skill levels to head out on the lake and try their hand at catching these delicious fish.

We had such a wonderful fishing experience with Captain Bob! This was a birthday gift for my husband who had always wanted to go salmon fishing, and I decided to go with Bob after reading rave reviews about him online. We learned so much about fishing, water, and life in general. Bob has lots of great stories to keep the conversation flowing while on the water which was so nice. He is truly an expert in the field of fishing and has multiple lines going at a time at all different water depths. Though we only had luck catching 1 small salmon fish today, it was still a super fun day, and we would definitely come back again! Highly recommend to anyone 🙂

Had an amazing time this past weekend fishing with Captain Bob! With his expertise, we managed to pull out a few big fish! We took one home and filleted it that night. What a delicious healthy dinner. We got out nice and early and had the most amazing view of the sunrise and Toronto cityscape. Great experience all around, I would certainly recommend!
