With Captain Chris at the helm, you’ll be guarangteed with a safe and reliable trip. He is an insured, United States Coast Guard OUPV licensed captain. He has fished the east end Long Island waters all his life. He caters to all types of anglers, first timers always get a quick lesson from the Captain. He is committed to make every trip fun, action packed, and full of fish on the deck!
Your adventure begins on board a 25’ Parker center console boat that can fit a maximum of 4 anglers. The boat is fitted with GPS, fishfinder, radar, ice box and live bait well. It also has a toilet on board. It is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and runs with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots.
Captain Chris will show you the most productive inshore and offshore spots where the best bites are. Depending on the season and your chosen trip, you’ll have the opportunity to reel in some prized species and even heavy-weights—target catching Striped Bass, Flounder, Scup, Black Seabass, Tautog, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Fluke, Weakfish and more! He makes it possible for you to try out various fishing techniques, gauge and choose what you can effectively do. You can bottom fish, use live bait, jig, drift fish, popping, chunking and trolling. Feel free to tell the captain what you need to learn, or ask for some tips and he’ll gladly show it to you.

I consider myself to be very lucky to have discovered Capt. Chris and the Saltwater Cowboy. I had my first trip this past Wednesday for the opening of the Seabass season. I was extremely pleased with the trip and, most importantly, the catch. We fished the Shinnecock Reef and Chris used his GPS and Chart Plotter like a marine treasure hunter to return to the hottest spot on the Reef. I am certainly going to be a repeat offender on the Saltwater Cowboy when it comes to catching "keepers" with Chris. It was a great afternoon with a good crew, and all had a good time.
