Action-packed day from the get-go! I took a crew of three out on a 3/4 Day Trip with Saltwater Spoiled Fishing in Placida, FL this summer. We launched early in the morning, greeted by clear skies that promised a great day on the water. Our destination? The productive waters around Grove City-Rotonda, known for some fantastic fishing opportunities. Once the stage was set, we kicked things off with some live bait fishing. The snappers were biting well, both inshore and nearshore in the Gulf. It's always a treat when these tasty fish are cooperating. We mixed things up with some sight fishing and trolling too, keeping our techniques varied to maximize our chances. The real highlight came when we hooked into a Goliath Grouper. These massive fish are catch-and-release only, but they provide an unforgettable battle that tests both angler and equipment. While we were out there, we also had the chance to see some sharks cruising by, adding to the excitement of the day. As the day progressed, we saw some rain move in, but it didn't dampen our spirits or the fishing action. Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Jeffrey and their crew out for a Half Day Trip (AM) with Saltwater Spoiled Fishing in Placida FL this summer. We hit the water early on a partly cloudy morning, with some rain in the forecast. The conditions were perfect for our target species - Mutton Snapper and Red Snapper. Despite the weather, the enthusiasm was high as we set out from Placida FL for what promised to be The best experience on the water. With our gear rigged and ready, we employed a mix of techniques to maximize our chances. Wade fishing allowed us to cover more ground and get up close to the fish's habitat. We also used live bait fishing, which is always effective for snapper species. Sight casting added an exciting element to our approach, letting us target specific fish we could spot in the clear waters. The partly cloudy skies actually worked in our favor, providing just enough cover to keep the fish active without completely shutting down the bite. As the morning progressed, we managed to hook into some nice Mutton and Red Snapper. The crew worked together seamlessly, taking turns on the rods and helping with the net when needed. Had a fantastic time on the Englewood fishing charters, where we caught some impressive grouper. Everyone on board was thrilled with the experience.
The snapper bite was decent to start but fell off a bit as the morning progressed. The bite from other fish species was steady all morning long.
Snook fishing in Florida was an unforgettable adventure. As I cast my line into the shimmering waters of the Gulf, the thrill of hooking into these powerful and elusive fish was matched only by the stunning backdrop of Florida's coastline, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Captain Ron was great. He took the time to show my 15 year old son how to use different baits and equipment. He was very knowledgeable about the fish, the area, and where to find them. I highly recommend him. He is a fun and funny captain who clearly cares about what he does. After the trip, we even watched him catch two pelicans just to remove hooks from them. He is not only a good captain but also a good person with a good heart.
