Action-packed day from the get-go! I headed out early this summer morning with Ted for a 4-hour fishing adventure with Salty Charters. We launched from Manteo, NC, ready to explore the waters around Roanoke Island. The weather was partly cloudy, with a chance of storms later, but that didn't dampen our spirits as we set out at the crack of dawn. With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on inshore fishing, employing a mix of bottom fishing, surf casting, and live bait techniques. The waters around Roanoke Island offer prime spots for these methods, and we were eager to see what we could reel in. Our target was Spotted Weakfish, known for putting up a good fight and making for a tasty catch. We worked different areas, adjusting our approach based on the conditions and fish behavior. While we didn't land any monsters this time, we did manage to hook into some Spotted Weakfish, which kept things interesting. We wrapped up the trip with some solid catches and a great time on the water. If you're looking to experience the thrill of Outer Banks fishing, Salty Charters has got you covered. Our 4 Hour AM Fishing Charter is perfect for anglers of all levels who want to make the most of their morning. Whether you're aiming for Spotted Weakfish or other inshore species, we've got the knowledge and gear to put you on the fish. Manteo and the surrounding waters of Roanoke Island offer diverse fishing opportunities year-round, and summer is an excellent time to get out there. As a local guide, I can tell you that the OBX fishing scene is hard to beat. From the calm inshore waters to the productive bottom fishing spots, there's always a chance for a great catch. Our charters are designed to give you the ultimate OBX adventure, focusing on techniques like bottom fishing, surf casting, and live bait fishing that are proven effective in these waters. Whether you're a seasoned angler or new to fishing, our 5-hour morning trips provide ample time to explore different spots and tactics. Don't miss out on the chance to create lasting memories and potentially land that trophy fish. Book your trip with Salty Charters, and let's hit the water for some exciting Outer Banks fishing action. The fish are waiting, and so are we!

Captain John performed an excellent job dealing with two beginner fishermen. His patience with them and kind attitude made my experience exceptional. He certainly got us on the fish, and he went out of his way to let a family of dolphins to play in our bow wake (that alone was worth the trip!) Thank you Capt. John!!!
