Captain Terry took me and a friend out for a half day fishing trip on his pontoon boat for bass and specks. As an elderly person with physical limitations I was excited to find out he has a pontoon boat available so I would be more comfortable, this really made the trip enjoyable! Captain Terry was very knowledgeable, he taught us how to fish with shiners for bass which we caught several of and we used grass shrimp to catch a limit of specks which I brought home for many dinners to come!

I don't recommend anything unless it is the real deal. I have to much pride in my recommendations. Scales & Tales Outdoors LLC is legit. The captain Terry Elliott has so much drive to put you on some good fish, along with teaching while guiding. His knowledge of the Chain of Lakes is immeasurable. Check him out if you are in the Winter Haven area he can show you the Winter Haven Chain of Lake area, put you on some big fish and make you a rod to assist with the whole catching fish thing. I know who is making my next flipping rod!! Thanks once again for taking me out I will definetly be back for more!!

I can't say enough about this charter company – it's truly outstanding! Captain Terry is incredibly knowledgeable about various fishing techniques and is committed to putting you on the fish. Today, I followed his advice, switched from worms to a rattletrap, and landed the biggest bass of the day, weighing in at 5.5 lbs! Terry also made sure to accommodate me since it was my birthday and I had just returned from Europe, knowing how important fishing is for me on this special day. It was the best experience ever, and I learned so much about side scan and FFS. Thanks again, Terry – I’ll definitely be booking another trip with you soon with the guys!

Every year, we make our trip to Florida from the North, aiming to catch L.M. Bass. When the bass bite began to slow down, Terry smoothly switched us over to targeting Specks, and the action picked right back up. Terry's performance as a guide is best described as honest, hardworking, and passionate.

I've tried speck fishing many times before and never caught one, until my trip with Terry – that alone speaks volumes. We had an amazing time, landing over 60 specks that day. Great company, an unforgettable experience, and a fantastic fish fry. Highly recommend checking him out!
