Captain Troutman exceeded every expectation—from scheduling and service to professionalism and, most importantly, his fishing expertise. We enjoyed nonstop action catching black drum, flounder, trout, and redfish. He consistently put us on fish, kept us rigged and casting, and was always there to help land and unhook each catch. The attention to detail didn’t stop on the water—he took great care preparing the fish so we went home with an amazing sea-to-table dinner that night. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate to book a trip with a true local who knows these waters inside and out.

Captain Troutman’s trip to Chandeleur Island was outstanding. He knew exactly where to find the fish, and we had nonstop action with plenty of redfish and the biggest speckled trout we’ve ever seen. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the local ecosystems, history, and wildlife, which made the day even better. His expertise and friendly attitude made the trip truly memorable. I highly recommend booking a trip with him.

I’ve booked Captain Eli for inshore Mississippi Sound trips, offshore trips, and Chandeleur Island trips, and every single one has been a blast. I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun fishing, and both my personal-best trout and redfish were caught with him at the helm. He grew up on the coast and knows these waters inside and out—he always seems to be right where the fish are. He consistently puts his customers on great action, especially quality speckled trout. If you’re looking to fish the Mississippi or Louisiana coast, look no further—you’ve found one of the best charters around.

This was easily the best fishing day I’ve ever had off the Mississippi coast. Captain Eli Troutman set the tone from the start—friendly, prepared, and completely at home on the water. We headed out under perfect skies, and almost immediately the snapper started biting. Then came the cobia, strong fish that made every hookup memorable, with Eli’s calm and expert guidance making each catch seamless. He kept us comfortable with snacks and drinks throughout the trip, making the entire experience relaxed and enjoyable. By the time we headed back in, the cooler was full and so were our smiles. Eli even cleaned the fish at the dock, sending us home with beautiful fillets and even better memories. An excellent captain, outstanding fishing, and a day I’ll be talking about for years to come.
