Vehicle Details
Inshore fishing around Port Aransas has been steady, with anglers finding success across the bays and flats. Redfish are the main headliners right now, cruising in shallow water and staging around grass lines and potholes. Most fish are in the 20-26” slot, with a few oversized reds being caught early morning. Live shrimp under popping corks, soft plastics, and cut mullet have all been effective depending on the tide movement. Speckled trout are feeding well during low-light hours. The deeper edges of drop-offs, oyster reefs, and channels are producing good numbers of keepers, especially on live croaker or paddle tails worked slowly. Water clarity is decent, and the bite is best early in the day or when the tides begin to turn. Some anglers are also catching solid trout drifting over scattered shell beds in the bays. Black drum and flounder are in the mix too, with drum favoring dead shrimp and crab near structure and drop-offs. Flounder are being picked up around sandy points and creek mouths, especially on slow-rolled gulp baits or finger mullet. With water temps warming up, action should stay solid heading into the weekend. Be sure to check tide charts and hit the water early for the best results!
Red Fish and Black Drum are good on live or dead shrimp fished on the bottom.
Today's redfish fishing experience with Guide Randy Seidel was nothing short of spectacular. From the heart-pounding strikes to the breathtaking Texas coastal scenery, Captain Randy's expertise made every moment unforgettable, creating a redfish adventure that exceeded all expectations.

Excellent fishing trip! Great communication before the trip and everything was ready to go once we arrived. Capt. Randy had us fishing very quickly and we had some nice redfish in the boat in no time. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and created a great experience for beginner and experienced fisherman. I would happily book with him again and would recommend him to anyone.

This is the guy to use for results! Had the waters and weather been better, would’ve had even better results. But caught my limit and was happy

We had a great trip with Randy. We were very fortunate to limit out the entire boat of 4 guys with a redfish haul incl. one oversized red. Randy was prepared for our group and very knowledgeable about local spots and fishing conditions. We were very fortunate to have great fishing conditions and immediately be pulling in fish. That’s not always the case on fishing trips since there are many factors that go into a successful trip. Randy was a superb captain and I would highly recommend him and will definitely book a return trip.

I took my graduating grandson on a morning fishing excursion. Weather was a bit questionable but the experience was great! Thanks to Randy’s knowledge of the area we were able to find a spot yielding several nice slot Speeckled Trout. (They were extremely tasty!). We had to cut short the trip as the storms closed in, (with lightning strikes approaching), but a great morning none the less. Kudos to Randy for his knowledge in locating fish.

Experience: 5.0 / 5 Boat 5.0 / 5 Crew 5.0 / 5 Overall Fun day with my dad and daughter VERIFIED Half Day Trip (AM) on June 27, 2023 We had a great trip. Fishing was slow for literally everyone on the water that day. But we still managed to catch enough to ensure my 7 y/o had a great time. That plus the dolphins that followed us around were a highlight for her. My dad and I are both avid fisherman, and Randy kept us on the action. No reds unfortunately but the water level was so low that’s nobodies fault. My daughter has a shellfish allergy and early on in the trip it looked like she had some inadvertent contact with the bait. Randy was all over it, and once he realized I was a physician it was all good. She has a minor reaction, cleaned off her hands and face and it was totally fine. Honestly, I’ve fished all over the world and have to say Randy was awesome. Will definitely be hitting him up again next year when i come back to port A for our yearly family beach vacation. Thanks Randy. We had a blast.

It was a rough day for fishing but Captain Randy did his best to put us on some fish. We had 3 little boys that did catch some no keepers and saw some dolphins and a stingray. We enjoyed our time on the water with Captain Randy and our boys. This will be 4 hours these 2 dads will never forget. This is what fishing is all about. It’s not always the fish you bring home, it’s the memories that were made, and for our sons first experience we were happy to have it with Captain Randy. Thank you sir for a great morning!
