Hot bite and happy crew! I took James out for a 4-hour trip on the Chassahowitzka River this summer. We launched from Chassahowitzka River Campground near Brooksville, FL on a partly cloudy day with the possibility of storms looming. The morning air was thick with anticipation as we set out at the crack of dawn. Despite the weather, the conditions were prime for some serious angling action. It's always a treat to get out on these waters with Snook Sniper Backwater Adventures, especially when the fish are biting. Once the stage was set, we got down to business. I employed a mix of techniques to give James the best shot at landing some fish. We started with some live bait fishing, letting the natural scent and movement do the work for us. When that didn't produce the results we were after, we switched it up to bottom fishing, probing the deeper holes where the big ones like to hide. As the morning wore on, we even tried our hand at trolling, covering more water and searching for active fish. The Chassahowitzka River is a gem for anglers, offering diverse fishing opportunities. Another great day scalloping in Pasco County! Jason brought his family for their 3rd scallop trip with me. They got plenty of scallops, but the highlight of the day was helping and watching the two youngest kids progress, from being intimidated by the big waters, to pushing their limits to become comfortable enough to swim away from the boat, and even find a few scallops. Little miss even got to the point of diving down about four feet or so on her own. I'm so blessed to get to be a part of these events. Not mention, I had the pleasure of educating them on the scallops and sea life. They even got into learning a little about the tides and electronics on the boat. These opportunities are priceless! It's not about limits, it's about sharing in lifetime experiences. Little miss even made me a pinky promise to come back because she had such a great time for her first experience. I still have some days available!
