Nearshore trips typically involve about an hour run to the first fishing spot and we keep it between 7 to 9 miles (for client comfort and to maximize amount of time on the fish). This was the first fishing charter we did as a family. We chose the kid friendly option and it was the perfect amount of time for us - we have a 8, 6 and 3 yr old. Captain Shane was so attentive and made sure we all had a good time. I highly recommend Southern Renegade Charter! Our boys asked that we come back and do another charter with Captain Shane next time we visit the beach :)

We had a great time fishing with Captain Shane! My 5 year old daughter wasn't too excited about fishing, but after reeling in her first, she was all in! Shane was great with the kids and we came home with two redfish and a recipe for grilling them. If I'd have known the kids would eat all that fish, we wouldn't have released the other redfish!

Family reunion in October brought us to Destin Florida and after research, we booked with Captain Shane. The boat was perfect for the 5 of us (plus the Captain). He put us on a lot of fish, caught a bunch, had a great time and would recommend it to anyone in the area. Thanks Captain Shane!!

Captain Shane gave us all a great experience fishing! We caught a ton of fish and had an amazing dinner the next two nights. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!
