Captain Josh was incredible! From the top-notch equipment to the great fishing, it was an unforgettable experience. We hooked into Blackfin Tuna right away at the Hump, and the action continued all afternoon. We landed our final tuna just as it was time to head back in, and the ride home was smooth and relaxing, with some good tunes to set the mood. We’re already planning our next trip with Josh. Thanks for the poke recipe – we were enjoying our fresh catch by sunset. And Go Vols!

Captain Josh with Southern Son Charters is exceptional! We had such an amazing time on our first trip that we booked another one for the same week. His expertise made the experience unforgettable, and our family had a blast catching mahi mahi and yellowtails. Having been on many charters before, this one truly stood out as the best we've ever had. We still find ourselves shouting “FISH ON!!” and can’t wait to return to Marathon next year. We were greeted by the friendly crew and Captain Josh, who took the time to explain everything to us and go over the boat's features before setting off. Once we were on the water, it was non-stop action with tight lines and fantastic fishing all day long. An added bonus was that after such a great day, the crew cleaned and prepped our fish, making it easy for us to head home and cook an amazing dinner. We 100% recommend Southern Son Charters and will definitely be back to try their snorkeling and sunset cruise next time!

Our family of four adults and two teenagers had a great half-day fishing trip with Captain Josh out on the reef. Although the waves were rolling at about 6 feet and we only caught a couple of small yellowtail, we had a fantastic time. Captain Josh’s knowledge of the area made the experience enjoyable, and we loved spending time on the water. We’ll definitely be booking with him again in the future!
