Boston Harbor Striper Success: 22-Inch Catch on Half-Day Trip
Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Edward out for a 4-hour trip with Stormbuster Charters in Winthrop, MA this summer. We launched bright and early at 8:00 am, ready to explore Boston Harbor. The weather started off clear, but we knew clouds were rolling in for the afternoon. That's typical for July around here, and it can actually make for some great fishing conditions. Once the stage was set, we got down to business. I decided to mix things up and give Edward a taste of different techniques. We started with some surf casting along the shoreline, then moved to bottom fishing in some deeper spots. As the day progressed, we even did a bit of trolling. Each method has its own charm in Boston Harbor, and I always enjoy showing folks the variety we can offer. The striped bass were biting, and Edward managed to land a nice 22-incher. Not bad at all for a half-day trip! We wrapped up feeling pretty good about our catch and the overall experience out on the water. While we didn't break any records, the day was definitely a success in my book. That 22-inch striper gave us a good fight, and it's always satisfying to see someone connect with a fish using different techniques. As the clouds started to roll in during the afternoon, it actually seemed to improve our luck a bit. Stripers often get more active when there's some cover overhead. Awesome Striper action the past few weeks. The topwater bite has been fantastic, we have been catching them on various plugs and other top water lures. Stripers over forty inches are being brought to the boat regularly. The Striped Bass fishing in Boston does not get much better than this!

Capt. VInny kept us on Haddock all day . We never drop anchor and if we weren't pullong in good sized keepers he'd find us a spot within 5 minutes. The boat floated unbelievable as a few of the people had issue with sea sickness it was stable even when drifting. I would highly recommend him you can tell he loves the sport . limted out on Haddock 60 for the boat he filleted everything. absolutely top notch!

Captain Vinny is an awesome guide! My husband, our 6 year old twins and I had a great day fishing with Captain Vinny. He knew exactly where to fish for bait and where to fish for the catch of the day. We caught several striped bass, two of which Captain Vinny cleaned for us to take home for dinner! He gave us his favorite recipe on the grill, took fantastic pictures, and let the kids have a turn at steering his boat. Captain Vinny is passionate about his craft and has a truly kine demeanor. It was truly a great experience on the Atlantic! We will book Captain Vinny again when we return East.

We fished with Captain Vinny in Boston Harbor today, and he put us right on a big pile of striped bass. We landed 9 fish, with the largest measuring 41". Although the sonar showed a huge school that wasn’t actively feeding on the surface, Vinny made multiple drifts over them until we doubled up on two big bass using live mackerel he had ready on board. Highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Vinny!

We had an amazing time on this fishing trip! The weather was perfect, and the boat was clean and comfortable. Our captain was friendly and helpful, making the experience even better.
