At Suncoast Scalloping, we provide unforgettable scalloping experiences in Crystal River, one of Florida’s most treasured coastal destinations. Locally owned and operated, our mission is simple: to offer fun, safe, and memorable adventures that showcase the beauty of our Gulf waters while helping guests collect fresh bay scallops during Florida’s limited scallop season.

Scalloping season runs from July 1 to September 24, and it’s one of the highlights of the year on the Nature Coast. Crystal River is known for its shallow seagrass beds, clean water, and thriving scallop population—making it one of the few places in the state where recreational scalloping is both legal and abundant. Whether you’re a seasoned snorkeler or brand new to scalloping, we welcome all skill levels aboard.

Every charter with Suncoast Scalloping includes a dedicated in-water guide who will be with you every step of the way. We’re here to help you find scallops, dive safely, and build confidence in the water. Once you're comfortable, our guide will continue supporting you—helping you reach your limit, answering questions, and keeping an eye on everyone’s safety. One of our favorite touches? We take underwater photos throughout your trip and send them to you afterward—for free. No need to risk your phone or buy expensive waterproof gear—we’ve got it covered.

Your adventure takes place on our 26-foot tritoon, built for comfort and powered by a 300hp engine to get you to the scallop grounds quickly and smoothly. Although the vessel is rated for up to 16 people, we limit each trip to 6 guests max to keep the experience relaxed and spacious. With comfortable seating all around, a double bimini for full shade, two ice-filled coolers, and a ladder for easy water access, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable, stress-free day.
