Sure Shot Fishing Charters is a family-owned and operated fishing charter service offering trips through the Gulf of Mexico for inshore and offshore fishing charters from Orange Beach, Alabama ,from spring to early winter every year.
Owned and operated by Captain Mike Salley and crew, Captain Mike offers fishing trips ranging from inshore bottom fishing and trolling for snapper & grouper to extreme offshore fishing for sharks, triggerfish, wahoo and more.
Captain Mike especially loves reeling in Red Snapper on his fishing charters.
Captain Mike has more than 30 years of experience fishing the local waters. He is well-known and respected in the community. Captain Mike caters his Orange Beach fishing charters to anglers of all ages and skill levels. He loves bringing out families with young kids to experience the good fight first-hand, and helping new anglers be better acquainted with this lifestyle he loves so much.
The Sure Shot Fishing Charters boat is a custom-built (commercial) boat originally built in 1984, and restored in 2020. It is powered by two 330HP Cummins 5.9 Turbo 6BTA engines with a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots. The boat is equipped with all supplies, a bathroom, cooler for your snacks and drinks, live well to store your catch and room for up to 6 people fishing together.
We book up very quickly, and Red Snapper is our most popular trip as Orange Beach is well-known as the Red Snapper capital of the world! Great trip with Captain Mike and Stefan. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the water and fish, and we had a great time. We limited out on vermillion snapper, caught a couple of spade fish, and a couple of red snappers. We did the 5 hour trip, and if you have time I would recommend longer—it flew by. Overall great experience, and I would definitely go back.
