Swamp to Sea Guide Service is one of the top-rated fishing charters in South Florida, offering unforgettable freshwater and saltwater trips throughout Palm Beach County and beyond—including Miami, Stuart, and Lake Ida. Whether you're an experienced angler or a beginner looking to explore South Florida fishing, our guided charters are designed to deliver exciting, high-action days on the water. Choose from light tackle or fly fishing setups and enjoy a fully customized trip with a professional South Florida fishing guide.
One of our most popular trips is Peacock Bass fishing on the Lake Ida Chain of Lakes—right in the heart of Palm Beach County. Known for its vibrant colors and aggressive strikes, the Peacock Bass is a bucket-list species for anglers visiting Florida. Swamp to Sea Guide Service is proud to be the most highly rated Peacock Bass fishing charter in Florida. Capt. Patrick Smith guides these trips multiple times a week, using expert local knowledge and top-tier equipment to give clients the best chance at landing these exotic fish.
In addition to freshwater trips, we offer nearshore saltwater charters targeting snook, tarpon, jack crevalle, and sharks. One of our specialty offerings is nighttime snook fishing—a favorite for anglers who want to beat the heat and enjoy an exciting bite around lighted docks and bridges. These night trips offer fantastic sight-fishing opportunities, with fish actively feeding on small baitfish drawn to the lights. Light spinning gear or fly rods (6wt–8wt) with clouser minnows or baitfish patterns are perfect for this style of fishing.
Every trip includes all essential tackle, gear, safety equipment, and saltwater fishing licenses. You’re welcome to bring your own gear—just coordinate with Capt. Patrick ahead of time. We do our best to catch live bait, but if purchased bait is needed, it will be charged at market price. Ice and water are provided; feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages (alcohol in moderation is okay).
Our pricing covers two anglers, with an additional fee for extra guests. We fish rain or shine and are flexible about adjusting launch locations based on conditions. Florida’s weather can shift quickly, so bringing a light rain jacket is always a good idea. For freshwater trips, please note that a Florida fishing license must be purchased separately, in accordance with FWC guidelines.
