Book with Brad Greer
Brad Greer is the co-owner and an integral part of the Tactical Tide Kayak Guide team, bringing years of experience fishing the waters of both Alabama and Florida. From the inshore flats and bays to the deeper offshore stretches, Brad covers territory ranging from Alabama's Gulf Coast through the Florida Panhandle. His time spent on these waters has shaped his strong connection to the local fishery and a deep appreciation for the coastal environment.
Brad offers both inshore and offshore kayak fishing trips alongside fellow guide Josh, targeting species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, King Mackerel, Red Snapper, and more. He tailors every outing to seasonal patterns, weather, and tide movements—whether you're casting on the flats or heading out into deeper waters. Trips are customized based on the angler’s goals and current conditions to ensure a productive and enjoyable day on the water.
Brad is especially known for his approachable teaching style and commitment to making kayak fishing accessible for all skill levels. From kids and first-timers to more seasoned anglers, he provides clear instruction on everything from paddling technique to lure presentation. Every guest walks away more confident and capable on the water.
While the majority of inshore and offshore trips take place in Florida, Brad also offers freshwater fishing experiences on Alabama lakes. His dedication to responsible fishing practices and appreciation for the natural world help make each outing meaningful and informative.
Whether you’re fishing Alabama's freshwater or Florida’s saltwater coastlines, Brad ensures a rewarding experience built on skill, patience, and a genuine passion for the sport.

Offshore fishing along Alabama’s Gulf Coast is delivering excellent results this season, with a variety of saltwater species actively feeding in deeper waters. Anglers are finding success targeting game fish from just a few miles out to the continental shelf. Current Conditions: Water temperatures offshore have risen to the low to mid-70s, creating prime conditions for species like red snapper, grouper, amberjack, and king mackerel. Calm seas and clear skies are making for smooth trips and productive days on the water. Hot Species: Red Snapper: Season is open with strong bites near artificial reefs and natural ledges at 60-100 feet depth. Grouper: Look for gag and red grouper around rocky bottoms and wrecks. Amberjack: Aggressive fighters found near reefs and wrecks, especially around deep structures. King Mackerel: Fast, exciting action trolling or casting near surface schools. Top Techniques: Bottom fishing with live bait such as pinfish or threadfin herring is highly effective for snapper and grouper. Jigging with heavy metal jigs and slow pitch jigs works well on amberjack and deeper grouper. Trolling with spoons, plugs, or live bait near the surface targets king mackerel and cobia. Best Areas: Artificial reefs off Orange Beach and Gulf Shores Natural ledges near the Ship Shoal and other deep-water structures Offshore wreck sites scattered along the Alabama shelf Tips for Success: Use a fish finder or GPS to locate reefs and wrecks accurately. Prepare for variable currents and always keep safety gear handy. Check regulations for size and bag limits, especially for red snapper.
Charter #1 in the books. John and Bryson were great, had a blast and caught fish all day long. Thanks for trusting us to take you out on the trip.
