Book with Billy Clabough
Planning a getaway is easy when a Lenoir City bass fishing guide like Captain William “Billy” Clabough is ready to show you the hidden corners of East Tennessee’s lakes and rivers. His trips are tailored for anglers chasing thrills and scenery alike, turning ordinary vacations into unforgettable East Tennessee fishing trips that blend local know‑how with southern hospitality.
Your adventure unfolds aboard Captain Billy’s 21’ Excel Catfish Pro—a roomy, US‑Coast‑Guard‑compliant vessel powered by a 150 HP Suzuki and armed with GPS fish‑finding tech plus a self‑deploying Minn Kota Ulterra trolling motor. With space for three guests, everyone can cast comfortably while the electronics pinpoint productive structure.
Although catfish headline most outings, the waterways here also hold striped bass, drum, and that coveted Tennessee bucket‑list prize—largemouth bass fishing Tennessee enthusiasts rave about. You’ll experiment with heavy‑tackle bottom rigs, controlled drifts, and purposeful trolling until that rod doubles over. Keep a cooler iced down if you plan to take a few eaters home, but trophy fish go back to fight another day.
Safety and comfort stay front‑of‑mind: every passenger receives a Type I Coast‑Guard‑approved PFD, and an emergency radio rides along just in case. Those touches make this a true family‑friendly fishing charter TN visitors trust, whether you’re bringing first‑time anglers or seasoned pros. Simply toss snacks, drinks, and a valid Tennessee fishing license into your daypack—Captain Billy supplies the premium rods, reels, and tackle.
From sunrise over Fort Loudoun to sunset on Tellico, you’ll explore some of the best fishing spots in Lenoir City TN while swapping stories with a guide who treats guests like old friends. Ready to trade screen time for reel screams? Reserve your date now and let Captain Billy craft a freshwater adventure you’ll brag about long after the last cast.

We did the trophy trip and caught 13 fish in total, and while we only caught 1 “trophy” fish that came in at 36 inches, we had a blast catching blue catfish and the one flathead was the biggest at 20lbs 10oz. He put us on several different spots and caught atleast 1 catfish per spot. For the price, and all around experience, Captain Billy is the way to go around here folks👏🎣🐟

Had another great fishing trip with Captain Billy. This Time Me and my son Skyler went on a mixed bag of fish trip. We were going for White bass, small mouth bass, and Drum. But got a bonus caught a couple of Stripers. The first one was caught on 6 lb test. What a fight. Second on 12 lb test. And then white bass and drum after that. Caught 13 fish and lost 3. What a blast we had. Me and my sons have been on many trips with Captain Billy over the past 5 years and he always trys to make the trips memorable. Try a mix bag of fish trip with him. You will catch the Fishing fever if not already have it. Jason Micah and Skyler Heath

Fishing with Capt. Billy was a great experience, start to finish. He communicated very promptly and effectively as we were planning the trip. Then he put us on multiple fish as we fished three different areas of Upper Watts Bar Lake. He clearly knows and loves fishing, and I recommend him highly.
